Hello!

I know it is wayyyy before Halloween time, but I was just wondering if I could get a guestimate of the dates it will run.  Just asking cause I wanted to put in some vacay days for work!  I understand if this is too early but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I seem to recall hearing it would be that whole week, so 10/26-30. You should probably get some real confirmation before putting in for time off tho ;)

I've always missed Halloween, I'm at about T4, is it possible to get the stone monster pet for someone at this stage?

Last halloween, there were so many Insane Goblin (http://ezserverwiki.com/Insane_Goblin_Halloween_Pet) Familiars (the better version of Stone Monster (http://ezserverwiki.com/Stone_Monster_Halloween_Pet)) dropping, that they were rotting left and right - auction was (first) filled with people selling loot rights for them, then filled with them being given away (Mistress of Flame (http://ezserverwiki.com/Mistress_of_Flame_Familiar_(Halloween_Reward)) was a little harder to come by, but was still being sold near the end of the event.

As far as could YOU get it? IDK - Stone Monster was pretty difficult to kill. I'm not sure if a T4 could do it or not   :-\

I was told the zone scales to your level, similar to what PoFire does now.

It didn't last year(or maybe the trash scaled but the named didn't).  Were tons of newblets QQ'ing that it was too hard for them... ;)

There was certainly something that scaled to your level... when I logged in with lower guys, it would be lower level trash... and when I logged in with my main, it was higher level.

However, the bosses were fixed. Stone Monster was always the difficulty of Stone Monster.

Resist Levels.

Even the earliest bosses are brutal if you arent at least partially resisting their BS. :)

That said, yeah, as a newer player expect to be hooked up pretty handily with IGs and such once the dorks are through trying to get an extra 100k in OOC on a week they will make 100mil. sigh.

It's a very community friendly event.

And its super funny to laugh at the person in T5 with a T8 /auc-bought warrior who cant kill anything in the zone at all since it's scaled to his highest toon. :)

It's funny you say that, because that is similar to what my biggest problem was last year.  Kruciel did a lot of stuff for me and I got my warrior in mostly ToV gear while most everyone else was sporting T6.
It really sucked when I popped CT and he threw some of my toons halfway across the zone into a group of mobs that whacked them immediately.  Or worse, threw a toon who aggroe'd half the zone and pulled them back to my group only so I could either die or mass spawn CTs to throw everyone around and THEN die.
So sad when I'm more worried about CT than any other boss spawn during Halloween...

really...and I guess all EoN, GSoA, any essence should just be free too...

/sigh pull all mobs into the tunnel...if CT spawns and throws your group the walls of the tunnel will stop them...geesh people! ::)

I had to learn this from buying a MoF pet from Rymo 2 Halloween events ago.  If Rymo is making an extra 1mil during Halloween, I think everyone probably should.  Noobies already have too much plat from all the GSoA's they gouge desperate high level folks for.  I'll be giving away 2 things this Halloween: Jack and Shit. :D

Jack I am pretty sure is no drop/no rent. Shit, however, is tradeable and lasts forver :P

I know this was a sore spot last year from reading the posts, but what are the chances this year of the event dropping UW weapons?

UW drops would be unrealistic in the current market.  With just the material cost (forgetting the time investment to grind out the 100 essences and 10m plat and 5 sls and 1 eon), a UWI = 39.25m, UWII = 83.5M, UWIII = 130.75M, etc.

A UWIII would be like having a mob drop 13 GSoA's....

Game breaking in my opinion.

That's what people thought last year too but they still dropped....if they do...I just hope I am the one to get it so I can flaunt it in everyone's face!  8)

To be honest, anything UW6 and above is practically like getting a free UW 11. Dminors and Gminors Gmajors make up over half of a UW11 grind. Those things suck balls.

Uhh.. I would prefer to grind out Dminor, Gminor and Gmajor over ToV anyday!

Not me anything before t5 sucks ass to farm....and t5 sucks ass too just not as much.

Last halloween i did was stone monster...only got a cazic and somehow destroyed it(alcohol was a factor....maybe).  Cant wait to get owned next month!

The UWs were a super fun, super rare, little carrot sprung upon us. I'm all for it.

As for those of you planning on selling pets, dear lord where is your holiday spirit. For shame.

As for GSOA/EON/etc.. Those don't rot en masse on halloween like the pets do.

I'm perfectly fine with either no UW drops or UW drops.. Agree with kruciel that it should probably be UW1-4 tho if it does, anything more than that is super nuts. :)

I've never been active during a Halloween event time. Been here for.. Many years so it'll be cool to finally experience it.

Any tips for what to expect?

Playing 24h a day for epic loots.

Better pull a 36h game streak. Just be sure to stop time in 4-5h intervals so you get plenty of time to loot.

Seriously: Make friends, group up, slaughter in huge numbers. If you have friends or at least acquaintances at your same level (i.e. if you're T5 geared, working on T6...find another in a similar situation), as this will make your experience in the Halloween zone the most enjoyable! :-)

Look in the EZ Rewards vendor for the "RealDoll" pet. It's very...uhh..'friendly' for lonely people like yourself. A great deal at only 195 credits....

If that fails, I can seriously log in my ~t6 crew from the old days and be your buddy. :-)  (seriously, for you bud, I would do it!)
