Title: MQ2 Filter not working? Post by: Brannyn on October 12, 2015, 01:51:32 am Anyone else having an issue with the MQ2 filter not working at all?
I can put in commands and it says that it's filtering but it doesn't filter anything out. Really sucks trying to optimize your clients when you can't keep 12 accounts from spamming proc messages and focus effects. Also really sucks doing pulls when you can't filter out ANY combat spam on your tank. Title: Re: MQ2 Filter not working? Post by: Dimur on October 12, 2015, 02:42:20 am Only reason I can think that might happen is if somehow the mq2.ini file was set to read only, I've never seen it happen personally but make sure that's not the case.

Title: Re: MQ2 Filter not working? Post by: Brannyn on October 13, 2015, 01:09:20 am Nope, it's writing the filters to it. It's just not actually filtering.
Title: Re: MQ2 Filter not working? Post by: Brannyn on October 14, 2015, 03:29:40 am After messing around a bit I have discovered that part of the mq2 filter is working fine.
Adding something to the filter list based off of what it starts with works. For example: /filter name add Branyn It will still filter out anything that starts with branyn, but if I try to filter out something that just contains it then it doesn't work. For example: /filter name add *branyn* I'm thinking that the problem is Windows 10 as my UF MQ2 client is not filtering correctly either. So something with Windows 10 is conflicting with MQ2 in a really weird way. Title: Re: MQ2 Filter not working? Post by: Brannyn on October 14, 2015, 05:48:42 am So to celebrate that I figured out how to filter out my damage so I can do pulls without everyone desyncing I start pulling anguish and watch as all my toons stand there watching my tank beat up the first boss.
I forgot that I had deleted my mq2 folder several times and remade it trying to get it to work so none of my toons were in their proper channels >.> Title: Re: MQ2 Filter not working? Post by: Leis on October 14, 2015, 09:21:05 am Looks like it doesn't recognize the wild card, but anything after the filter is caught. For example "/filter name add auto attack is" will catch both on and off.
Title: Re: MQ2 Filter not working? Post by: Kruciel on October 14, 2015, 11:35:13 am /filter name add *branyn* The correct format for this is /filter name add *branyn No asterisk at the end. Title: Re: MQ2 Filter not working? Post by: Brannyn on October 14, 2015, 06:55:16 pm Pretty sure that I tried that and it still doesn't work. I can try it again but I kind of like how I have it set up now since I just change the hit mode to number and don't see damage then I can just change it back to something else when I want to see damage.
