Title: Loping Plains traps map Post by: walk2k on April 24, 2017, 11:58:49 am This will put markers on the map for every trap (that I found, maybe missing 1 or 2).
Installation: 1: In the "maps" folder inside your EQ installation folder, create a new text document (right click). 2: Rename the new text document as "lopingplains_3.txt" (or replace this file if it exists). 3. Copy and paste the following into lopingplains_3.txt - save it. Code: P 19.2056, -809.9037, 110.5517, 240, 0, 0, 3, T (I've also attached the file to this message). 4. Reload EQ (or zone). Now on layer 3 (button on the map under "visible") you will see red T for trap at about the location of traps. Happy hunting! edit: added a couple more edit 4/25 added a few, updated a few edit 4/26 " " again Title: Re: Loping Plains traps map Post by: Loyal on April 24, 2017, 05:32:07 pm This is pretty cool. I had always thought the traps were completely random based on movement (i.e. every step = a chance to spawn a trap regardless of where you are). Are you saying the locations are static with a chance of triggering?
Title: Re: Loping Plains traps map Post by: walk2k on April 24, 2017, 06:57:40 pm They are definitely static, though I don't have them all on here, and a few aren't pixel-perfect accurate. But they are static for sure. Go try it out, and add any you find.

Ill definitely check this out and add to it next UW farm fest that rolls around Title: Re: Loping Plains traps map Post by: walk2k on April 25, 2017, 07:10:34 pm Sure thing just add them to layer 3 and copy/pasta here.
Keep in mind traps don't spring every time. They only spring about 20% of the time, and majority of those they're just a few mobs, rarely bats. |
