Hi Akka / Rent,

In the spirit of progress I'm posting this not just as what i "expect" to be a solution, but hopefully something we can turn into a discussion that becomes a solution.

Based on changes with the server, lack of new players seeking plat, whatever the underlying reason may be, there is almost nothing for "sale" right now.

I personally need a ton more GSoA's, could always use more essences, TOFS essences, EoN's, etc. Can we brainstorm a way to obtain these by alternate means?

I'd like to first propose that GSoA be sold in Stone Hive from queenie, for 200 Hive Shards each. We all need a ton of them, they are a great benefit to the EZ economy, and give us a reason to continually farm "ALL" content.

Of course, something similar to this would be a nice exchange system for either Hive Shards, HOH tokens, Plat, Stone of Impatience, what have you.

I hope this doesn't come across as an outlandish request. Looking forward to hearing what others have to say as well!

This is a nicely formed post, there should be plenty of input from folks that this directly affects and posts like this are why I check the forums a couple times a day.

Good post Otto brings a lot of thought to where do the lessers go from here ?  I turned off OOC because its basically a HOS raid channel.  I suggested something like this a while ago but it was only ripped apart and taken to another direction from those that don't need anything.  MPG gone k another cut to the lesser no matter how buggy.

What does happen after the event ends ?  Loot will return to 2016 levels ? don't think so  I know this will be ripped apart again but just for those that only logon during the major events you have no clue how much longer it takes to get the same now.

I have been helping new peeps and will continue to encourage it.

Because GSoA were dropping like candy prior to 2017?  Maybe I misunderstood, but I highly doubt Akka or Rent twirled their mustaches and devised a way to stealth nerf any drops...especially one that isn't even required to progress through all of the content.

Honestly I don't think we really need to do anything about the GSoA situation. It's not needed for progression and if we change something that allows a lot more people to get it done then it will get to a point where it either needs to be nerfed because its too powerful or the mobs need to be tuned around it. Neither of these things appeal to me and probably not to anyone else either.

I think the exchange system idea has merit, the cost would need to be steep.  Again, GSoA are only useful for the EoA and isn't required to be able to progress.  But there being a quantifiable way to obtain them would hardly be game breaking, until some dispshit finds a way to exploit the shit out of it.  But I'm sure people can exploit farming the GSoA as it is anyhow.

zonepull clicky plus double/triple loot instances is a pretty good way to start flooding the market.

First - DL/TL items accumulated server wide are very reasonable, the exploits don't have any real bearing on this anymore. Economy is just fine and will be just fine.


Second - I'm not opposed to alt GSOA method attaining, however contrary to speculation - no drops have been adjusted in the past 2 years that have not been on the change-log. T10 and anything below, global drops, etc. I prefer to make changes in content that ease up on drops rather than nerfing them after the fact, doing so is a lack of foresight.

An idea i had was possibly using the Stone of Impatience with this. Maybe 10 SoI in a magic box = 1 gsoa

Consider many of us have these sitting around, and it would be a nice boost. Once they are used up, however, they're gone. it would add alternate means, and they don't have a crazy drop rate either. I see maybe 1 or 2 per day of decent farming.

Should just leave the drop rates alone.   Those that grind get the gear.    Just like EQ live.   If you spend time and raid you get the leet gear.    If you cannot spend time, well no leet gear.      Not sure why developers need to implement alternatives for casual players.   

I think that's a good idea Otto the SOI are still pretty rare but disappointing when they drop since they aren't currently very useful.

Your absolutely right Maslow EZ shouldn't be fun for anyone that has a full time job and family and only able to play 3-4 hrs a night and as much as possible on the weekend.  This server should be for hard core players only. /excuse us

            Want to bench 300?   Hit the friggen gym.  
            Want your phd in basket weaving and QQ?   Start studying, it is an 8 year commitment.  (hint, you are not going to get it putting in 2 years of effort)
            Want an E100 in World of Tanks?   Grind that shit son.
            Want gear on EZ Server?   Then friggen shut your pie hole and grind.     Donate if you want more gear to give you an edge, win win



None of us that have the gear have exclusive rights to that gear.   How did we get it?  We ground it out.    

EoA is not a required item and frankly casuals shouldn't even have it.   All I hear is QQ and excuses.    But but but I don't have the time, drops are too rare, blah blah blah.    Grind or go home.

So you can't have fun if you don't get GSoA?  Everyone that has gotten their earrings is a piece of shit, no life, no family, no job moron?  The reason you want GSoA is because they are hard as fuck to obtain, not because you NEED them to progress or have fun on this server, so relax and use a little perspective.  I don't know that I'd make GSoA as easy to farm as the SOI, and it would really be unfair to be able to trade those in for the hoarders that have a bunch banked (yes I hoard everything and probably have 50ish SOI banked that I'll never use).  Maybe allow the Master Essence to be traded for a GSoA or something, it'd be a tangible farm and obtainable for people who are at the gear point of starting to really gain the benefit of the EoA.

How about selling am item for 200 credits that allows a 1 hr double instance per day, along with a zone pull tool for 200 credits that holds max 10 charges and resets every day? This would have three positive effects. It would be an influx of capital into our server, it would aid the casual player in maximizing time spent each day, and would be a much needed infusion of essences and GSoA we need.

On that note,  Why are Master Ess's the only ess's that arent trade able?    Can we get them to be tradable?

Initially they were tradable, but Hunter decided that there should be some part of the UW quest that required the toon acquiring it to actively farm.  He announced the impending change and gave people enough time to trade them or sell them off to whatever toon they wanted to for any existing Masters and then flagged them all as no drop.  That's why they are not tradable, as to whether or not they should tradable at this point of the server's evolution, that's certainly a good topic for debate.

Ya at this point master essences would be perma farmed and eofs wouldn't be sold besides masters for any profit. I think they should stay no drop. Go farm.

Wow some one really has their panties in a wad, nothing like that was said or implied.  Sorry it took so long to respond between working out at the gym and these basket weaving courses just haven't had the time. Basket is almost to 48 now so really pushing hard.

Honestly, you just described my life...i just play in the mornings :). i have all the GSOAs i would ever need and more. I think the difference between us is that i set my expectations based on my playtime. I expected i would get EOA 50, but probably later in life. I dont have the expectation that all of my chars will get a EOA or even that ANY of my other chars would get an EOA. Its only now with the recent halloween loot do i expect ill do an EOA on char 2. Perhaps i will get another char done but thats probably pretty far down the line. I understand other people have more time to play and thats why they got to where i want to be, faster than me.

Everything is obtainable to everyone at a set difficulty and for the most part the only thing separating people on this server is their playtime and tolerance for grinds. To me, the journey is the fun part not the destination. Things shouldnt be made easier just for the more casual players (myself included), that ruins it a bit for the more hardcore players  as its just too easy.

For the record, im not against an alternative way to get GSOA, i just dont think the reason should be to speed things up.
