EZ Server

So I have not logged in a long long time. Is this server still so that you need more than one group to progress? As I remember it could be done with one group but would be slow as Christmas. Thought about coming back but if I do it would be starting over.

no need to run more then a grp most are running 1 grp activ and got couple more chars in background ! but again only 1 grp (6 chars main activ )

The answer is yes 6 can do it, but there are some considerations;

As you progress, you'll want to work on the optional pieces (Earring of Brutal Ages, Ring of the Ages, Shield of the Ages, Ultimate Weapon). If you do this and maintain from tier to tier, you'll be OK playing just 6.

The alternative is doing fewer of the optional pieces and running a zerg army like some do.

I personally enjoy playing fewer characters, but it's a balancing act. Having friends to help in a pinch will also fill any gaps as well.

Depends on what you got and what you want. But yes. 1 group with the right chars will be enough to rush thru progress part of the game

Hey Xiggie!

Great to see veterans thinking of coming back to EZ. I've been on and off myself over the years, but I always find good reasons to come back. I think your timing is good if you end up starting again now. There should be a lot of new content for you and more is on the way with an active GM and development. Much have changed since you were on EZ last though. Mainly things have become easier due to powerful end game items like the Ultimate Armor and Guardian Charm. The ability to make double and triple loot instances and last but not least the Zone Pull Clickies also makes farming a lot more efficient than before. The loot multipliers and zone pull clickies are only available during events.

While there are plenty of people that have resources and will to help you out and move you quickly to the end game content, you could also just take it at your own pace, which I recommend. Once you reach T10 and get the tank properly geared, you should have no problem getting a new group up if you decide so. While 6 box works on all released content, there are obviously benefits of running more characters. Most of us old timers have at least 12. Personally I always run 27 but I know that's a bit extreme and not for everyone. When you are fully geared in T10, all you really need is your Warrior as he can then face tank anything alone by then, except maybe Sleeper's Tomb (T10.5). This changes in future tiers again though, which I am happy to see. The shift towards single and dual hard hitting mobs with high HP will require more than your warrior to overcome. Even a group of 6 characters may be cutting it a bit short then.

If you are starting fresh I would start with the following classes: Warrior, Paladin, Rogue, Monk, Cleric, Zerk(Warrior).
