Now that money is useful, Im curious to what people think a qvic run is worth, or what they'd do it for. I have a little money, and was looking for a 3.0 run or two in the next coming weeks so naturally I'd like to know how much I need.

There are a lot of casual Guilds that you can join. Why not just join one and help each other.. It's not like 90's EQ long raids forever.....

meh, not flaming but just wondering?. I joined a semi small Guild and helped each other and now we creaming T2 together..

Honestly, id love to, but i feel like id just be joining the guild to get 3.0, then obligated to stay...? I rather get 3.0 flagged on my own terms and then join a higher end guild.

Just start shopping around for guilds with people you like man, start making freinds and enjoy your time here.  Have you made it through Qvic yet or was that someone else not being able to do it?

There are a lot of good people.. good thing is I think the good people's numbers are way better then the a$$ hats numbers  :D so no matter what you can end up in a good position.

But I am going to need 3.0 for my SK and CLR, at the very least. And ranger sometime down the line, Gnaughty.

I guess my playing style is more solo, and I don't have a ton of interaction. If the right guild came along, though, i'd love to join them.

Concerning Qvic Costs: I think it the price is more of dictated by the person doing the running. There are some people who are gearing their own toons and dont neet the tokens. So they will ask for a mere 50k and reserve a few gear drops for their own toon.

Others who are doing it just for money probably wont do it for so little and will ask for 100k-150k.

About joing guilds instead of paying for qvic runs: I paid for a few Qvic runs to get enough 3.0s to start grinding Qvic on my own. I did this rather than join a guild for two reasons. 1.) it is much faster to get gear. 2.) I dont want to owe them anything without having a good way to pay them back.

I figure ill join a guild when I am T1 geared.

I think 100k is a fair price. I bought most of mine before the economy, so I spent alot of time camping CG/FG sets. Those same sets look to be going for 100kish so it seems fair enough. Though I've seen them going for double or triple that price.

That's the fun part of an economy in EQ. Prices fluctuate and sometimes you find a good deal. That's like killing a boss mob to some people.

In retrospect, I would have much rathered farm 100k than camp guild sets. At least you get AA's when farming plat.

I now have 4 toons qvic flagged and I have yet to complete a qvic run by myself.

From what I've seen personally, token runs in Qvic are 5k per token, so 75k for a full run.

Looking at it from the price of a million plat costing $25, and a 3.0 raid flag costing $50; people offering the 3.0 raid flag, (which is what the Qvic tokens gives) for only 100K is a steal.

Looking at what people are charging for CG/FG items; 100K is a drop in the bucket, and you don't even need to be geared to kill the mobs.

Looking at the big picture, after you get that flag, you can beg for people to kill TT for you two times, to get both your epics, if you are a dual wield class. 100K to basically get both 3.0 is quite the steal.

I guess it's worth what people will pay for it, but I wouldn't want to pay more than 50-75k.  100k is not a drop in the bucket for me, it's about half of my bucket, actually.

Well it depends on the rules of the run. If the person buying the run is getting every drop 75-100k seems fine. You can make 20-30k from gem loot.

70k and the PL'er takes the loot.
100k if the newb loots all.

1 run takes about 45 mins.
This is greatly reduced to the original price of FG/CG drops.

I base the price on how long it takes and how much money I could have farmed on my own in that time.

what really gets me thinking now is i know people out there would run QVIC for just ONE PIECE of fg/cg set... IE, KD.. EXE AXE... ETC. And people used to offer full sets for a Qvic run. I wonder how that will effect the CG/FG item market..

As more people achieve T2 gear (upon which qvic becomes very trivial), there are more people willing to do runs, thus the price of a run goes down a bit.

It's easier to do a 30 min qvic run than camp an EXE axe for 5 hours.

This is true. There have been times I only needed 2 guildhall items and I did a qvic run for just those two items.
Of course The person buying the run from me offered more then I was looking for so I took it and banked it for a guildmember.
If they had noticed I said I was only buying 2 items they could have saved like 10 guild items for future trades.
