Do you remember the naming policy thread where a ton of people with stupid/suggestive names got banned?

Considering that, I don't think he'll last the month.

An ogre called Rtard ...  WTB Humor for someone, even if its not the funniest joke. Whoever gives a damn about this name has problems.

I think the point of that thread was about offensive names.

/shrug, the guy who had "Nipple" as his name had to change it so... it seemed like it was more than just ourtwardly offensive names that were getting changed/banned for.

personally I couldn't give two shits. Doesn't bother me at all, I just thought its risky considering the thread we just had

@paladinsteve.. couldn't we say that about any offensive name? Wheres your humor?

Ahh i see, I think we have to draw the line somewhere on offensiveness vs just having harmless fun.
Anyway, if the Rtard is online today, send me a tell.

Have to admit that an ogre sort of can get away with a name of Rtard. They are after all, Ogres.

Retard (Rtard) is a derogatory term referring to people with mental and physical handicaps. It is offensive to some because it tends to stereotype people of such handicaps as being of low intelligence and socially unacceptable.

Retard can be the social equivalent to a handicap person as n**ger to a black person or ch*nk to an oriental person.

My 7 year old son has Autism (his intellect is off the charts, but he's in his own world socially). Before we had him I was completely ignorant to the challenges faced by people with such handicaps, and would have readily defended an ogre with such a name. But, things being as they are, I can understand why some may be offended the belittling of such a condition.

A savant?? :)

Can he play piano?

I tried the Piano thing. He was interested in it for a few days but wouldn't stick with it.

He can name every (and I mean EVERY) instrument in a full orchestra and readily spell words that I cannot. The problem is, he won't perform on demand. Everything is on his own agenda. We are working on that.

All he wanted was to connect with a misunderstood Ogre

Edit - wish i knew the code to make this picture smaller - Quick! someone tell me how or post another picture about my failure.

Gotta admit... it was an elegant derailment.

Thanks Ieawenpo, I sent you a PM.  ;)

My full name is Rtard The_Clown and for the record I'm a dumb ogre in colorful armor wielding a big axe - a really, really big axe.   ;D

Now I got the name from a tv show on Comedy Central called "Southpark". I'm sure most of you have heard of it as it's the best damn show on tv next to "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" of course.

So for the handful of you who have taken offense to something designed to be funny, you really need to turn the sensitivity knob down a few clicks, drink a beer and laugh once in a while. Well that or maybe start saving your money for a planet earth guild instance. (jk there is no planet instance) lol

Be safe and I look forward to grouping with you all.

edited for spelling

I can appreciate your situation.

My wife suffers from "Lazyness", seems to be a common problem amongst women between the ages of 16 and 80.
It starts innocently enough with lack of laundry and then progresses to dishes and eventually the bedroom.
Seemingly, a side effect associated with "Lazyness" is "shopping vengeance".
Like others with illnesses, she takes offense to various expressions used to refer to them. Specially "Lazy bitch"  or even worse "money spending bitch".

But, she too understands that sometimes when I refer to her as "Lazy", its meant with tongue-in-cheek and not meant to offend.
I hoping to find help, but, assistance with this is hard to come by.

:)
