Title: Dps before and after
Post by: Xiggie | Stone on August 22, 2010, 03:16:35 pm
I am not sure if the changes I noticed in my parcing was intentional or not but I have had a significant reduction in dps since the changes. If these changes were intentional then that is fine, just like a little confirmation. But if they were not intentional I would like to bring it to your attention Hunter. Both fights were 300 seconds and both on the 2.0 practice dummy with my monk. Parse data is below to back up.

Code:
After           Before      % of loss
6525.2          8714.1    74.88%   DPS
848             1302        65.13%   # of hits
1957571         2631671     74.39%   Total Damage
102        168    60.71%   # of 5 attempts per second (this one was most on both)

Source code and weapon damage have not changed in recent updates.

Could this be lag induced? When were you parsing? How many people were online? Do you know how many FPS you were averaging while running the parse? If you were at 20+FPS for the first parse and hovering around 5FPS for the second that would explain the lost DPS.

Yeah weve come to find that video lag hurts dps very very muchly.  We've adopted the thinking that less is more.  I just started using Gamparse today and it had my monk at 7k dps so I dunno if 8700 on yours is normal or not.  I need to get with Crab on how this program works.  Which program is that Xiggie?

It is also gamparse. Going to do a more comprehensive parse later on tonight. Basically a replication of the last parse that I did with this charm or that. I will also include my fps and will make sure I only have 2 chars on. I do all my parsing in 2.0 zone (charmbers). I can also through in a video of it just to make sure everything is top notch.

Ok I have figured out what is going on. Brawlers is not giving any haste at all. I did two parses back to back, one with 70 haste (T2 monk bp) and one with 137 haste, (brawlers 31). These parses were done with the same exact conditions, (minus the charm moving) and came up with about the same amount of dps, attempts and other stats. I did not make a video but if it is needed I can do it again and make one. My fps was 39/50 for the entire parse. It was done in chambersb guild instance with only one other toon in there with me. Below is the html pic from the parses and I am also ziping up the logs and posting a link to that. The fight with 70% haste was 301 seconds and the fight with 137% haste was 305 seconds. There should have been a strong and noticeable difference between 70% haste and 137% and there has been before.

well focus has always been wtf /ignored
worn haste however is another story.
While Hunter claims there has been no change to the cap it sure feels like it when you see a noticeable drop in DPS.
oh well, I dont play my monks anymore. As much as I think its fucking retarded, its all about warriors, clerics and rangers.

I am thinking it was just a little small oversight when all the changes were made. Not giving up on my monk at all, but my alt monk will not be raiding with me. On the main monk I guess I will use guardian till brawlers gets worked out. Hopefully very soon.
