Title: AFK TESTING

I will be testing an AFK Script in Surefall, Nexus, PoKnowledge, and PoTranquility that trigger after 30 minutes of not moving around enough (afk). Then a popup window "Yes/No" comes up, and if you don't click yes within 5 minutes, you get disconnected. Keep me posted on results. Might modify it later to be 1 hour before the window pops up.

Will take effect after I #reloadquest and player zones in again after that.

Heh, I ran into this tonight. I went to make myself something to eat, when i came back one of my toons was on the login screen and the other had the popup window on their screen. I like the idea.

I might add the pop up window to the LDoN afk scripts as well, which right now I think boots players to zone-in without warning.

Definitely confirm the LDON port to entrance thing. Seems to be a little harsh with how quick it ports, but might be intended.

I agree LDON needs confirmations - Would be much simpler when boxing a few chars and waiting for the boss through a few spawn cycles if you wouldnt have to tab through your chars just to move a few feet. Would be much easier to see the box on your main screen then tab through and click the box.

if im holding a camp in ldon 5 say, ill camp out my boxes and leave one char that can solo it (not always the case tho)

LDoN used to give 1 point per trash mob kill and 50 points per boss mob kill to every player in a group (or even Raid if you formed one).  So folks were parking their Beasties and Mages in rooms with large mob counts.  The mobs would pop, aggro, and be killed by the pet.  It wasn't huge point farming, but one guy in a room somewhere could get 60 - 80 points per hour for each toon in the group while AFK.  So, you go to bed, wake up 8 hours later and your 6 toons have earned 500 LDoN points.  Double that if you have two pet classes parked in two different rooms.

I am lovn the afk idea especially if it free's up bandwidth.

Is it possible to make he pop up confirmation box random so that you don't know excatly when it will pop up, other wise I and other people will just watch a timer for an hour and come back move then afk again.

If we have a random timer set to be between 10minutes and an hour, then we would actually have to keep toggleing through our toons to keep from getting booted. This would help greatly on the choke points by permacampers who won't pay for the 100kp guid instances blocking other from progressing or forcing them to pay for an item they would not normally mind camping if the camp were open to farm.

Getting a bit worked up about this huh?

I can only assume you are referenceing the afk script in LDON since your statement wouldnt really apply anywhere else (although sometimes i have camped the aug pool on multiple characters)

In Reference to LDON - the way i see it is:

The script was put in to fix the fact people were afk killing mobs for points in LDON which could be considered the temporary fix seeing as a permanant solution was put in place with the coins. Since the permanant solution has been in play (for quite awhile) why not remove the temporary fix that serves no real purpose anymore?

Speaking as someone who already knows how to tab and move characters - I would like to see the script removed as it is annoying and serves no real purpose.
