Title: Web hosts? Post by: Sickem on April 06, 2010, 10:39:01 am Anyone know of any good web hosts? Im not looking for the "top 10 lists", because most of them are gimmicks and/or pay to be ranked in the top 10. I just want an affordable web host that I can use dreamweaver or expression web to upload to. It'd be nice to have a few features like cheap(ish) domain registration, decent bandwidth, ability to host streaming audio and video, etc.
I'm really looking to experiment a bit with some web development, not using any "site builder" or "any dummy can set this up in 5 minutes! THIS MEANS YOU!!" type of thing. Title: Re: Web hosts? If you need a dedicated box and your budget allows it, www.softlayer.com is hard to beat. Full root, dedicated box, and they have shit tons of bandwidth.

i would do the busy work of collecting items, screen shot items, cut and paste them into the wiki under hyperlinks, etc... to make the community information more available. just dont know how to go about doing it. any thoughts?
