Was in qvic and while group was killing adds and deciding on what loot went where a rogue named battlelord ran up and stole everything on boss Have no fraps for proof just want everyone to be on the lookout for him.

LOL thats BS. at the 25minute mark the corpse was OPEN. I asked in tell 3 times if you needed or wanted anything on the corpse and you did not reply but kept pulling new mobs. You're loss. Next time dont wait 5minutes on a  boss corpse to loot eh?

That's a bunch of crap. 5 min is not nearly long enough, especially if the toons that killed it are nearby. You freakin need to wait until you get a response. Its guys like you that make me think that everyone playing is 13 years old.

You realize the corpse loot timer wasn't made so that at that point the loot becomes free for all right? It was made so people that were group bugged or friends/guildies brought in from another camp or zone can get their loot without waiting a half an hour or watching it rot OR if the corpse has been abandoned a passerby could also loot without waiting a half hour, but he hadn't abandoned the corpse. I don't know why you idiots seem to think it becomes a free for all. If the guy that killed it had been bringing in a friend or guild member, or fuck even an alt or box, for that loot it may (and probably will) take longer than the corpse lockout timer for them to get there. Although i will say if OP failed to respond to 3 tells then it must not have meant much to him and he shouldn't be bitching.

5 minute rule only applies to afk ppl holding a camp, not loot on a corpse

By rights, you have a ban/suspension coming. Say your apologies while you can.

I can understand if you see the guy porting out, perhaps running away to another boss. But if the guy is busy, and fighting off new mobs and not responding, there is too many reasons for you to NOT take the loot. Now there were 2 ways to deal with this, be a defensive dick , or simply apologize.

Even if you don't get banned, your labled as an idiot and a smartass. If you don't get banned you would do better rerolling under a different name.

I had a plate bp drop in Qvic once where I announced it in guild...guild member had to escort the guy that needed it from the zone in. He got there when the corpse had 1:30 left on the timer.  Just sayin...it isn't always free for all after the 5 minute mark, especially on Qvic where you have to do that awful run from the entrance. 

I'd like to put in my vote to ban this guy.

Oh, and to Dany...where you say that if the guy didn't respond to 3 tells then it must be ok?  Maybe the rogue was doing tells to one his boxes that the guy doesn't look at?  I know that if I am boxing, I almost entirely am looking at my warrior. If you send a tell to a cleric or whatever, theres a good chance I'm not going to see it for a while, if ever, especially if ooc is pushing the tell off the screen.

Ban, Unless someone replies specifically with: "Yes, you can loot..." you don't touch the corpse.

Ban/suspend (IDC) - I don't respond sometimes cause I'm busy killing. It's my loot I can do what I want with it.. most of the time I let whoever have anyway as they ask.

But this Guy THINKS he deserves it just cause the timer expired..

Example: When I first started killing Kronos, the corpse would have like 23 mins left on when I got done with the last of the 3 spawns. ( He would have ninja'd my BPs?! ).  >:(

Hunter should program a system message that goes off every hour..
"DO NOT LOOT MOBS THAT YOU DIDN'T KILL"

or can just add it to motd so you see as you long in.. no excuses..

The next person you ninja from may not be so forgiving and may have Fraps readily available.

No matter how good friend you and he may become, your reputation is toast. First because of your actions, then because of your attitude. Frankly, I hope you don't get banned so people will enjoy blacklisting you.

Regardless of the end outcome, your posts here would indicate you think it's perfectly fine to loot a corpse once it's opened, if you've sent tells and received no reply.

Several people have quoted the server rule as posted by Hunter, the server GM.  No Ninja Looting.  If you do not receive specific permission from someone to loot an open corpse, you're not permitted to loot it.  It doesn't matter if there's one item left and it will expire in 30 seconds.  The rule is zero tolerance so Hunter, who has limited time on the server due to RL responsibilities, isn't asked to police and/or judge each case.

Because you've displayed a callous attitude toward the server rules, and railed against the OP for calling you on it, folks assume you have no respect for others/the server/the rules, and would prefer to not have to deal with you.

Hunter determines what's appropriate.  But he relies on the community to police itself and values the opinions of its members.  You've come off looking very bad here.  As you have not yet apologized for breaking said rule, or made any indication that you now understand said rule and will follow it in the future, then yes, the community is going to continue to think the server would be better off without you.

Work with the community and most would back off the "Ban Him" cry.  Be belligerent and folks won't want to deal with you.
