Trying to brain storm the future of Epic Weapons 8.0+ starting in ToV.
I could continue the course of regular epics and/or epic augs from T7 Epic 7.0's, or make new rare drop multiclass uber weapons that drop in T7+.
...
A new idea I'm thinking about is trading in your Epic 7.0's for new multiclass weapon in T8 ToV that will have 5 augment slots. Paladin and SK would get the same 2hs, Warriors, Rangers, and Bards would get the same 1hs, casters would get the same 2hb and/or dagger, Monks and Beastlords would get 1hb, etc.
These new weapons would have 5 augment slots, each allowing different type of augment that can be leveled or ranked up just like the Materia in Final Fantasy 7. Only one of the augment slots would be proc, the rest would be other stuff that you can select to specialize your character, to have more mana or hp, more DPS or more Healing, etc. This would make the weapons more unique to the class etc. Would go something similar to this (different slot numbers to be determined though):
Slot 1: Proc Augs Slot 2: Focus Effect Slot 3: Worn Effect Slot 4: Click Effect Slot 5: Stats (HP, Mana, AC, Resist)
So you could choose which area to rank up to specialize.
Those special Augments would probably start becoming available in T8 ToV along with the weapons. The Augments would probably use AA points to level up.
Maybe Slot 5 would be all stats (HP, Mana, Stats, Resist, Heroics, etc) instead of just one stat, so the original weapon will be blank except for the damage that increases every tier.
Reason we don't have Epic 8.0+ yet is just time consuming, to clone all the Epics and Epic Augs, and make all the code for Epic Vendor to trade them in for the upgrade, etc.
The new way proposed would take some time to get started, but then every tier would easily have a new set of weapons real fast since just need to make maybe 5 or 6 weapons per tier for upgrade, as the augments with aa rank up is already done.
Might limit the augments to 5 or 10 ranks per tier each as a cap, so for example in T8 ToV could only rank each augment up to rank 10, then in T9 could continue to rank them up to rank 20, etc. Would prevent anyone from getting insane HP or DPS from focusing on just 1 augment rather than balancing the leveling across all 5.
I realize lots of people doing UW's now but we still have a lot of dual wielders out there, and many times just the main tank has UW so the rest of the crew needs some update which there isn't much weapon update right now in T8 or T9, just strike Augs that give higher proc DPS.
Any feedback and ideas welcome.

Added ToFS Essences to EZ Rewards NPC due to request.
If you plan to get any, then wait for Christmas 50% off, since they are not cheap.
Also planning to rename the "Essence of Frozen Shadow" to "Master Essence of Frozen Shadow" which will work for ALL tier UW from rank 1-11 (Rank 12 comes out next tier). This would be in addition to the Floor 1-7 dropping essences 1-7 for UW 1-7, would clone those recipes, so that you could use a Master essence instead if you have one for 1-7. Hope that makes sense.
Note: Master Essence of Frozen Shadow isn't made yet, but might be soon. For now recipes 1-7 still require essences 1-7.

A faster spawn (including faster depop) might benefit active players more, and benefit afk players less.
Maybe have the timer bosses spawn every 30 minutes with a 30 minute depop time? Could be more fun and interesting?
Edit: This would not affect all bosses, only the ones that spawn on timer. The trigger mobs wouldn't change.

Updated zones to stay alive for 10 minutes when no players are there.
This should help players to not lose bosses if they wipe out in instance as long as they get back within 10 minutes.
Hopefully this would reduce any server lag or strain from when player wipes out, and zone needs to re-open and spawn npcs again. Instead, zone is just sitting idle and waiting for players to get back in, which will be faster for the player since the zone is already created and doesn't need time to create/spawn.
Should take affect after next reboot in 3 hrs from this post.
Also someone found bug in my instance code that was suppose to prevent people from joining a different instance if your already in an instance. This has now been fixed, and I gave the player 50 credits for the reward. Major exploits like dupes or invincible mode usually yields 100-250 credit reward depending how good it is.
Depending how the 10 minute timer works out for zones, might be able to remove the code that prevents players from hoping from one instance to another directly in attempt to exploit place holder spawns. A player would need to wait 10 minutes for their other instance to close before entering it in hopes for boss to spawn instead of place holder.

Forgot to add the Stone Monster and Insane Goblin illusions to Halloween Event this year, so I added NPC in Nexus to hand them out to anyone that has the pet clickies, to get the free illusion clickie too.
Just hail Halloween NPC in Nexus.
Also updated the Cazic Thule Pet, Stone Monster Pet, and Insane Goblin Pet to attack mobs.
Made sure their damage and DPS is less than that of Mage Pets. They attack slower too. They have no charm and no fear flags on, but nothing else for special codes, no triple/quad attacks, etc. HP is high but up to the caster to keep them healed if used as a tank. Chance that these pets will have their stats edited again for balancing based on feed back.

Added Earring of the Ages to the Leaderboards NPC in Nexus.
Earring of the Ages quest is strait 50k AA per rank, up to rank 90.
Each rank give 1% chance for Divine Intervention up to 90% max.
If the chance for Divine Intervention goes off, you'll get full health instead of dying.
Definitely an OP item for players who put their time in.
Meant for players that already got max Ring of the Ages rank 1000 already, that they still have something to spend AA on.

I personally think in the MOTD or somewhere for newbies it would be nice if you put that this is a boxing server
Wasn't originally designed to be a boxing server. Was hoping people would help each other out and play together. Just too many people being anti social I guess. If just 1 person is having trouble progressing on their own, then tough luck. If 2 or more people are having trouble progressing, they try teaming up. Even made certain custom zones to encourage teamwork, and yet people still want to be anti social. Whatever, if you want to box, and use MQ2 to help you do it, then fine. Just no cheating or botting.
