Um, who cares about getting the resists. You still have to survive the AE and heal  it, as well as trying to maintain aggro from rollover.

Actually, if you have enough resist, you won't have to heal up the spell damage.

So you can focus on resist and/or hp with healing. Both is better Smiley

This has been a pretty well known issue to anyone doing T8 and was brought up months ago, my guess is the reason it wasn't fixed until now is because nobody knew where the resist check was failing.  It's not like it matters much anyhow, because anyone going through the normal progression process would have the required resists on their their off toons anyhow since they'd be needed for T7 content.  The only head scratcher to me is that the DD is a 4k resist check, to have resists that high is basically saying that UW is in fact a requirement because even with all slots having at least one resist X from TOFS you'd be hard pressed to hit that level of resists without it, and going higher than resist X is just retarded given the amount of combines involved.



Why is content being made around the UW?

So hunter, are you stating that everyone who is t9 flagged were knowingly or unknowingly exploiting t8? How is that fair to people who are not yet t8 flagged?

You'd probably be right, since I know there was only one person in the world complaining about this like it was life changing AFTER completing it all for his characters.

Of course he did.  Should be made to redo t8, imo, not rewarded.

how often do they cast the AE / DD ? Is it random or static? Makes it harder to run more than 6 without knowing other party's health

Do you have cloak of anarchy? that's 20% mit that ran me fine till t8 now I need the extra 17% from cleric and soa or IG pet having all together would be great too !

Afaik, SKs/ Pallies can use cleric 3.5/4.0 stonewall clicky so that's an extra 25% every 30 seconds

but obviously 76% (self buffed) mitigation on warriors > 47 (self buffed) pally > 37 (self buffed) sk (do they get a cloak of anarchy II?)

I think if some people would just try to run a chanter, and see what they bring to the group/raid even putting agro issues aside...you'd see a lot more of them in use, and therefor a lot less agro issues.

Seriously....between II3 and 2h epic click on the tank, MS3 on the healer and even a level 3 shoulder aug on the healer you can heal a warrior mid pull and the warrior wont lose agro to the healer. Dropping MS3 on a BST even lets them avoid taking dirtnaps every other pull.

And if you dont see the huge benefits from a chanter in group, just use them to buff and log them out....the agro buffs last a very, very long time.

chanter aggro buff (II3) don't help at all in t8 from my experience if anything make it worse because of roll over.

it's such a huge game changer tho.

 I think a crafter guild quest that require like 20 essences or something along the lines (to make it accessible, but not easy) is fair (along with EoN, SLS etc). If people want to feel special, it doesn't have to be exactly the same as IG pet or be called the same thing even. Just that it has the same mitigation.

Things like xp clicky and fwp are good investments because they are not necessary to the game play but help a lot. I don't like the idea that you should need to spend money (or games) to get something that drops in game, even if only once a year. i suspect many people that play on EMU don't have a lot of disposable income, too.

I strongly believe that there should be a reasonable way for players to create either one of these pets. I was lucky because I started a little before halloween on this server and I got IG pet on all the classes I need to. But of course not everyone starts before halloween. it doesn't necessarily even have to be the same items, but some way to make up for the loss of mitigation they face w/o it.

Mitigation is so important for tanking that I don't believe it should be something that is so exclusive. I realize that you can buy it from the EZ vendor, but I don't think the price is fair given that people were rotting them during halloween.  I have no problem in having things that are exclusive to halloween such as the dark mount V, or the CT dt clicky etc but I don't think it's fair to limit such an important item to overall general gameplay to one time a year.

There is no doubt there are many elitists on this server who already have IG pets on every one of their chars who will disagree with me. But I will keep trying to make it a better place for new players since I only log in now a days to help them and that is a problem they face.

You haven't provided a solution to make casters comparable to melee, just keep telling me that melees spend more money into them. Yeah, ok. I think we have established that.

Lets take away casters mana and spells, give them dual wield and strike augs.

The only argument put forward is that it takes money invested into melee.

 If we are talking about fairness, I WANT TO INVEST MONEY in my casters, but can't.  To tell me that I need UW to be comparable is not fair.  The fair terms would be that there would be a way by investing time and money into casters to get comparable DPS. Until then it isn't fair. Also, melee and casters are not on the same terms, one does not require spells or mana. If they were exactly the same there would no point in differentiating them. So, yes, it does appear like a troll.
