I don't think I have ever seen a server count this high....

Maybe even a noobie pvp zone such as if you have ANY flags like Qvic's 3.0 Flag then you can't enter the zone.

This would limit players to Epic 2.0's although I could put code in there to allow Epic 1.0 max.

Only other concern would be augs and spells. I'm sure Augs would be fine depending what you can put in epics 1.0, so then question would be those super powerful drop spells that Hateborne created. Are any of them tradeable? Otherwise if no-drop on all of them, shouldn't be any issues of noobs having a super 1-shot spell.

Would almost be P99 style pvp.

This would make Custom Blue Diamond Armor worth having again

My husband would love this idea.  He loves PVP, but is only finished with T2 gear and wouldn't stand much of a chance against the higher end players currently.  Will have to get him to come to the forum and give his input.  I know he got all excited when I first told him about the new PVP, but he felt inadequate to even try to compete.

This is the guy that I asked in OOC for an officer of the guild Shadow to file a complaint as he was tagged as in that guild. During double loot weekend, he KSed a boss in LDoN while I was standing in the room on the spawn and I attacked once it spawned.  He sent in his pet and unfortunately outdamaged my poor monk.  Thankfully he left as soon as I asked in OOC for an officer.  That ogre is on my naughty list!

Get some sorc ranks and anger IVs on your warrior and you should kill PoFire mobs in a couple seconds. I pretty much instakill them as a SK but that's with a UC and FS6/6/7. With how the mobs leash now there is very little benefit from AoEing them.

Honestly though, just getting your war a 3.5 for the click should vastly improve your ability to conquer content that is challenging for you. If you see me online (my SK is named Hambeast) hit me up and I can kill shadow for you at the very least, and maybe I'll even give you a 4.0 book if I'm that bored.

Thanks - my warrior does have 25 sorc and anger IVs.  Wasn't sure if my paladin was doing better or my warrior. I do recall meeting you in PoF with my paladin (the oops moment, hee hee).  I will have to get my team together and give HoH another shot and see if I can get beyond page 1 and 2 mobs without dying too much.  But it will have to wait until this weekend as I am in my last week of mandatory OT

As a casual player, who doesn't even seem to fit Hunter's definition of casual apparently (perhaps rare player?) - I would have to play several hours to get one level.  My toons are all 3.0, T2 gear for the most part (over the course of well over a year of game play).  Worked some on charms, but tired of Ldon.  Worked on trying 3.5, but decided I may need to upgrade to make it easier to kill those mobs.  Was working on ring for my warrior when the change went into effect.  Old system took me maybe 2 - 3 hrs or so to go 1 - 70.  Getting 100 aa's appears to take me just about as long (no potions).  I guess no change for me, except for the hell levels.  I may try to get to the first hell level on my toons and then just forget it for the next several months until normal game play finally gives me enough to get out of it - and yes, it will take me several months with the amount of time I play.

Same - every time there has been a public attempt while I have been on it has failed due to idiots in the zone causing those earnestly trying to lag - and when they did kill, the word did not get out that the beast was down and there was major issues with the reward due to hail lagfest (that was on Monday, my only day off from work - poo).  Guess I will have to wait for next year since I won't be on very long tonight.  At least I got to see what it was like on Nate's vid.

I know I am slow at killing the bosses and people have gone past me to pull the remaining spawns - I assumed that was the way things were as this past weekend is the first I have had a chance to even try killing the bosses (always got in too late and everything dead). 

And yes the Tunat adds will attack anyone anywhere in the zone if they feel like it - which is the only thing that makes me mad about the mob skipping.  I have only died in the entrance room while I was logging in my other characters to that nastiness - have yet to wipe while I have been in rooms killing the bosses, as most seem to wait until I was done with the current boss and then engage Tunat pulling the rest of the bosses.  I then have just sat and waited to see if they call rots or leave the carcasses for me.

As long as they don't wipe me, I am not too upset.  But I am just a casual player and take what I can get...

I was on Karana (not on the list cause I believe it got merged into another server some time after I quit).  Started playing several months in from the beginning. Watched hubby play first, then finally started my own character. Quit shortly after PoP came out.  Still have each disk from the original to Kunark to Velious to Luclin to PoP .

Was in the one of the original guilds on the server: Stormbringers. We were part of the Ashborne Alliance of guilds.  Guild broke up and so I joined up with Lost Asylum instead (another of the Ashborne Alliance guilds).

I am still in touch with several of the old guild members - but can't talk any of them into playing any form of EQ again - darn!

I prefer to stay off the roads... which is why I like my job working from home  

Watching your videos remind me of some scary commutes to and from work I have had in the past (in the Twin Cities - MN).  You have to drive defensively cause you never know when someone will do something stupid.

Glad you made it past the car without hitting it.  We haven't had that much snow to mess up the roads here this winter so far.  Mildest winter I have ever seen.

Sometimes the servers are up, but the login is down - it just happens sometimes and there is no way to determine the login server status 

OK, got in now - took many many tries, but finally got thru.
