I totally disagree with you on that. 
Case in point: UW progression.
Example: MPG being removed.  Was it buggy?  Yes.  Are there other options?  Yes.  But, the issue is, there are LESS options than there used to be to get essences and hive shards...and certainly less variety if you got bored with one way of doing it, you had another.
Example: Seemingly less and less lowbies selling GSoAs and Essences.  Is that due to drop rates or less noobies or greedier lowbies?  it doesn't matter, it means less options for players.  Tons of cash but no way to buy the needed parts when no one is selling.  Tons of aa, but no way to invest it into needed things.
Example: Scorpion Tails drop less than in the past.  Are they required?  no.  Did they make the game more fun?  Yes.  Should we be happy with anything?  probably.  But, even if its by design to stop abuse/overuse by some, the fun is lessened a bit.  That doesn't mean we don't want to put in the time and effort to do the grind that is needed, it means we love the fact that Akka thought outside that box by introducing the scorpion tails, DLs, and TLs, and that is awesome.  It was a wonderful idea and an example of how insightful, innovative responses can make the entire game hugely entertaining because we can make a small event anytime WE like.  Talk about player friendly and a great idea.  MORE of that type of thinking, not LESS!!!!

That fits a boxing server mode to me, making the game more fun not less fun. 
Slow and mind-numbingly grindy was never appreciated by players, not back on live and not now.

Then again, I am still working my UWs and progression....and maybe that's the difference in my perception compared to others.

This is a boxing server...isn't the whole point of wanting to play on a boxing server is that we DON'T want to play on a server that requires grouping up in order to play content?  Nothing is preventing people from grouping up now if you want, but imo it seems you are playing on the wrong server if that's what you expect others to want to do, let alone wanting admins to intentionally design content for a boxing server that requires grouping.

Just an FYI that a few people are not having any luck getting CCs validated through coinbase this week, no response from Customer Service, etc.  My brother wanted to get me an EZserver item for Christmas and so far no luck just trying to get a wallet set up with coinbase after a week of trying.

I would be interested in understanding why the reward items, specifically the free waypoint, are disabled in T10.
Someone said it was due to resources to instance being high, but maybe with new server horsepower that would not be an issue, if in fact it ever was.

Just curious as to why this is the case and if it still needs to be.

HW POSITIVE FEEDBACK:

Akka asked to know what we are enjoying about the HW event.  I am flagged for T10, but am still working on backfilling my toons (UWs, etc) to be able to hunt there, and I understand the HW zone is not targeting someone at my stage of play, however I want to share what I enjoy about the HW event anyway:

I love the HW content: the zone, the mobs, the interesting differences within the HW zone.  It is fun to explore and goof around in.

I also LOVE the random essence drops off yard trash.  I much prefer that over the MPG runs or farming zone rinse-and-repeats.

I am MOST impressed with the zonepull items, that is simply amazing and makes essence farming a lot of fun.  I think that was a great insight into what makes it fun for players still trying to work on their UWs.  I really can't say enough about how the zonepull items themselves have caused me to daydream at work just thinking about the fun things to do when I get home and can log in to EZ.  Thank you a ton for that!

Finally, I joked about the candy, but I really do enjoy the coins and candy drops.  It is so much nicer than seeing so many mobs rot with nothing on them and it does make grinding a little more fun (for me).

Thanks again for the fun content, I look forward to future attempts at the zone.

Actually, I did not complain about DL at all, I simply said if it was enabled I wouldn't be in the Halloween zone.

I love the content and potential rewards.
However, I have to admit that if DL was turned on, I would hunt elsewhere since I am only "in T10" and not T10 geared and killing is too slow.
But, despite that, I think the zone is cool and it gives me incentive to beef up to do that...maybe next year.

One big thing to me: I would prefer instancing capability.  Last night i was getting trained by people, just like in old school EQ.

As of today (7/3), I am still seeing xtarget issues that appear to be problems to me.

These all happened today (afternoon and evening):
* when on my own, in my own raid, no other pullers, I had targets pop onto my xtarget that I did not agro or attack...and were near the zone in, when i was not.  This happened in ToV.
* Previously, in zones prior to T10, ninja and FD trinket would often drop agro from xtarget.  They may or may not drop agro now, but they remain on my xtarget list - so there is no way to know.  To test this, I agroed about 10 mobs and then ninja's and FD'ed multiple times, eventually nothing attacked me or seemed to be agro'ed, but they all remained on my xtarget list.

not sure if this is a bug or an unfortunate feature, but:
* when in a raid with two or more people pulling, I see the targets of the other person even when I have not attacked anything.  This was happening today (7/3 9pm eastern) in OC.  This has happened the past few days in T9, T10, etc.

Past problems I did not see today and seem to be resolved or not happening now:
* targets on the xtarget which were killed did not remain on my xtarget today, as they had been
* I did not see targets at the top and the bottom of my xtarget list, with nothing in the middle.

I got DC'd doing a /repop instance in T9 at the zone in.
12 toons logged in at the time, entire raid DC'd.
I don't think I had seen anyone post about a problem just doing a repop yet, so wanted to mention it.

I too experienced DC's with large pulls in QVIC, but not with small pulls, which was expected.  The only unexpected thing based on what I had read was that I was solo pulling QVIC while my alts were sitting at the zonein, not even close to me....yet we all DC'd.

Just sharing my experience with it, in case it helps. 
 

I just launched a miner expedition for MPG.  It gave me the MPG task and told me "entering muramite proving grounds".
But, it zoned my raid into the Catacombs.
Gating out and re-entering, it again told me entering MPG but zoned me into catacombs.
I still have the MPG task in my task list...nothing about Catacombs.

I have successfully done MPG many times and never seen this behavior, but it just happened tonight.  No known change on my part from other runs I have made.

Akka/Rent:
Gumboo is having some difficulties logging onto the forums and asked in /ooc for someone to post to see if there is a problem with the donations.
The webpage shows donations are online, but he said it was not working.
