General Category / General Discussion / Re: MySEQ

MQ2 imbeds itself into the Everquest memoryspace or executable if you will. It has 10x more offsets than Myseq uses. MQ2 knows everything there is to know about the client and information in memory. Not only does MQ2 know all these things, but it can change them. It can run macros and bots. It can warp you around the map. MQ2 can do everything that can be done with the client. MQ2 is infinitely "does a hell of a lot more" than MySEQ. All MySEQ does is display a better map than the MQ2 in-game map. A really, really much better map. Myseq doesn't change Everquest's memory or it's executable. It only observes its memory for information on all the spawns (including players). I admit the in-game MQ2 map is better than nothing, but only just.

Showeq does a hell of a lot more than just map. HIGHLY doubt admin will allow it....Hunter didnt.
If all you are after is mapping functions, use MQ2. Its easy, its allowed, its all set up in a free, easy to install and use package that not only helps map but helps easily run your entire box team. Dont really need ANY other program, especially after Windows 10.
If you have never used MySeq then you don't know what you are missing compared to the crappy MQ2 map function. As far as I know, it doesn't do anything that different than MQ2. You can set up filters to flag you when a mob spawns (MQ2 does this too). It's nice because you can have a full screen color map showing on a laptop on a 2nd screen. It doesnt get all bogged down, and it's a huge and really nice map compared to the EQ in-game map. But thanks for the response!

Hi all..! I was wondering if running MySeq was allowed on the EZ Server? I assume it is, since it does the same thing as the map in MQ2 (shows the spawns on the map in realtime). If it is allowed, does anyone have the "offsets" for it? I have them for SoD and SoF I believe, but not for UF or RoF2.

General Category / General Discussion / Pet health of Group Members not updating correctly a lot of the time
|

I searched and couldn't find anything on this, so I hope it hasn't already been reported. This issue could be specific to SoF (the client I'm using) -- I haven't tested with other clients.
The last few days my friend (also on SoF) and I, a Shadow Knight, have seen a bug. I am playing a shaman, and I'm watching his pet's health in order to heal it. We're on skype voice and he's telling me his pet's health is 80%... then 5 secs later, 50%... then 6 or 8 later, 30%... you get the idea -- and I'm seeing it at 100%! Even when not in a fight, just standing there for LONG periods of time, one of us will look the the PET HEALTH bar on the group window, and it will show 100%, but really it's at 50%. Now, this is important to note. If I target the pet, after a second or two, it will change to the proper amount. It's only the pet health bars in the Group Window that is messed up. It didn't seem like I saw this problem when I used SoD a couple weeks ago, but it could be that I just didn't notice it. I don't think it's just a quirk with me since my friend sees the same problem with his group window pet health (looking at MY pet). Also note, in the normal Player Window, MY pet's health bar always works fine... and so does his... again, just the Group window's pet bars. Sorry to reiterate that so many times, but I'm trying to be clear as I can be. If I get a chance to test with SoD over the next few days, I'll post my results here. I seem to remember a time on EQ Live where it was having this same exact problem, and it took them a good amount of time to fix it. Note, my custom UI uses the same EQTYPE as Default UI for the pet gauges which is <EQType>17</EQType> through <EQType>21</EQType>. If this is a client side SoF bug, there may be nothing that can be done to fix this -- or maybe there is.

General Category / General Discussion / Magician spell Valiant Companion does not work
|

I was in Velks, in the kobold area. These guys love to fear my pet. I put Valiant Companion on him. My pet still was feared, and ran around training all the kobolds -- and I died. As he was running around frantically pulling kobold after kobold, I looked at the Pet Window. It boldly showed both the Valiant Companion Buff icon as well as the RED skull fear icon (trepidation?) Just wanted to report this, and hope that it can be fixed. Thanks!
