Don't forget to pick up a Staff of Fluxing Power from the newbie vendor. You get the equivalent of a low level Sorc charm and you get to keep your oracle charm while you're at it.

You're very new to Everquest and you've got 8 characters up and running? Are you boxing all 8 at once or is it just a lot of alts?

I was able to take him down with my team without any 1.5s, PAL/PAL/WAR/MAG/SHM/MNK ... the key for me was using the SHM DD proc spell and slowing DS (he can be slowed).

Doesn't look like your team has something that adds that.

If you're doing DS, make sure you get a bunch of wizard pets before you go up, their nuke adds some DD.

Just as a double check, do a clean install of the TI client and see if you have the same issue (try it on something cheap..).

That way you know if the issue is with your migrating back and forth with p99.

The HP augs are free at the same vendor in the FG. They look like blue squares.

The shaman slow does work on DS. It made a huge difference for me. The other thing is add the Spirit of the Panther proc spell to your war/pal combo to increase DPS. It makes a pretty big difference.

I used a full group (Time Gear) when I killed him the first time, I started with War/Pal/Mage and I couldn't get him down because without slow he'd always kill someone and the DPS would be shot.

I added a MNK/PAL/SHM to my group and he went down easily, but the SHM was actually a big help at that level.

I would have loved to have seen that up front. I was probably in my mid 50s before I realized how good some of the free gear was.

I think the new Solo Instance for 5k where you can train all you like in LDON should make getting charms a bit easier for the way-over-geared folks. At least now when you train the whole zone you don't have to worry about getting frapsed.

After we've had this for a while I'll be curious to know how many instances of LDON 5/6 are up at one time on peak nights.

Entering your password is logging into the login server, not EZ. It shouldn't be server specific. Is it when you enter your password you have the problem or when you pick EZ and connect to server?

Definitely the half turn, used to do it all the time on live. I do it in other games instinctively when stopping just because I'm so used to it. Pulling as a pally, running up, casting stun to only be interrupted because of server lag was really annoying.

I'm slowly progressing through EZ. I've got a 6 box team, pal,war,mag,shm,mnk,pal. Everyone has their 2.0s (2 for mnk and war). My main paladin has his 2.5. I started back in october I think. My main paladin has about 5-6 play days.

At this point I need to start working qvic, but when working through and doing bosses, if I lose a char, it basically all falls apart. QVIC doesn't allow CoTH, so after I lose someone I spend a lot of time just running them back through.

What I'm wondering is, what do you think my best path is. Sit in LDON and work on charms or should I work on FG/CG for the rest of the team so they can get 2.5s?

Right now my war has a guardian 4, each pal has an oracle, mag has a sorc. LDON is easy, QVIC is HARD.

So what do you think? Sit in LDON or farm for CG/FG? My problem farming CG/FG is, I normally only play for an hour or two at a time. Farming CG/FG tends to be pretty boring just waiting in line, I definitely have more fun killing stuff in LDON, but I don't really see a lot of progress doing LDON since charms are so slow.

Good news, loot reappeared. Not sure what the deal was, I camped and loged back in last night to see if that would fix it and it didn't. When I logged in today, my stuff way there.

Hopefully I'm not losing my mind.

I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this, and maybe it's a known issue I just have to be aware of.

I was in LDON 2/3 tonights, killed a few bosses. When I went to camp for the night I was going to organize my pages/credits. I had looted 2 50 credit LDON coins, and 3 pages. When I checked my inventory, I didn't have any 50 credi LDON coins, and I only had the last page I looted (neither of the level 2 pages).

My inventory was completely full except for a 1.5 epic book. I scrolled back and I didn't have any errors about not being able to loot due to full inventory.

Anyone seen anything like this? If I'm the only one hopefully it's an isolated incident and not something introduced with the recent patch.
