Followed the guide down to a T and here is what I came up with.

Everything work fine but when I try to zone into PoAir, I keep getting a "Crash Report" when it zones about 1/2 way in.

Earlier in this thread, someone posted all I had to do was replace the airplane_chr.txt file with the original, or I could simply copy the code from the post; I did both and got the same results.

Any help please?

Running EQ SoD, System is a Phenenom Quad Core 8gbs of RAM, Nvidia Galaxy 210 (1gb ram onboard) card.

*edit* After doing some thinking, I tried to use this setup on a clean install of EQ, meaning NOTHING was added that didn't need to be added. Only thing I put into my new install was the Spell File.

So if anyone is having the same issue, you can (I tested all the zones we really use) with this setup.

I also did not add any of the special zone files (Airplane_chr.txt, etc). I have not tested them out on the mobs as to see what they would look like, but I am sure they would be some basic model, or human. Will update with their look(s) on alt(s) when I do that run. *edit*

there are class specific spell drops in t3 and t4

t4 beast spell is nice (Hulkamania)

could you tell me what the effect(s) on that spell is please? The only spell I saw for the BL when I was farming the hell out of T3 was that "Over Raided Cat Heal".

I would think that yeah, him Shadowstepping and your killing rate would have some kind of affect on it, as I can kill shadow in roughly 4-5 minutes with no issues (Meaning him not shadowstepping).

If I didn't need shadow to finish my UCs, then I wouldn't even dare touch him unless I felt it was necessary ehhe.

But to answer you, I am not entirely sure if it has some kind of affect on his ability, but I would think it would... since EQ is more "Real life"1 based logic than any other game.


1. It is based off more realistic views than that of any other game. For example, you receive less hits from the front than the back, etc.

No, you can just hand him the stone and when you get to Lv. 6, then it gives you a skeleton key on your cursor when then when you go to to the little gnome, you can simply say:

teleport to level # (# being what level # you want)

No Chat required nor boss being dead.

Alright, so tonight I decided to chase Shadow around and see if I couldn't find one of the 20 charms I need for my UC.... He shadowstepped me 14 times that I could count and I still didn't get the damn kill because the server was shutting down. Now I do not know what is going on, but he never shadowstepped on me past 8 times... and that was one time that he did that.

Tonight I had killed him around 15-20 times with each one being only around 2-5 times for shadowstepping. I would have simply, zoned out and came back in to try again, but waiting on a first spawn of 30minutes I wasn't looking forward to it.

I love you server, my all time favorite server, but could you please put a cap on Shadow? I do not like chasing him for one V1 charm upgrade and maybe a V2.

P.s. I am not the only that has had this kind of problem. It was brought to my attention that earlier today, someone else had encountered the exact same issue which resulted in a total of 19 Shadow Steps.

Maybe you can make him Shadow Step a little less? Chasing him around is really annoying as it is without doing it for XX amount of times and him only dropping the same loot.

Like the idea of adding to the loot table every time he hops especially when he hops of 10 times.

/sigh... I miss the server. Having to resort to leveling and playing on "alternate" server(s) that don't come close to the funtimes provided by the EZ.. Hope the storm passes soon, all these damned freak storms all over the country/globe are really annoying.

This has truely helped me, but there is only one thing that I do not like about it; No Skeleton Illusion will hold.

The only thing that I replaced to begin with was the GlobalLoad.txt file lines with the one provided here; but is there a certain line that determines Illusions/Skeleton?


Any help with this would be great.

I have not been getting this when I try to login, only when I am trying to enter certain zone(s)... for example I have 2 chars that I am trying to get their 2.0s on and every time I go to the zone, it crashes on me, and will not let me in no matter how long I let them sit, or how long I try. The only way I can play them again is if I do a char move...

Also, while playing, sometimes when I go to zone, my client ( random one(s) at time(s) ) will crash... even if they are all going to same area(s).

Anyone else experiencing, or was experiencing, this that can help me with my issue?
