This topic has been brought up before, and passed over. I do disagree, I think cyans should be left as they are, as its a big effort to make it to the 25 mark. Now that said, and it has been said before, it would be nice to have a chance at upgrades in other zones, say like tunat in tacvi droping the quiver or arrow.
One idea is having t1/t2/3/4 chest bosses and epic 4.0 boss having an upward scaling chance to drop an upgrade, on top of what their normal drops are. Another take away the chance of ldon bosses to drop an upgrade, and increase the % to drop off trash, therefore the camps are left in most part to the people who need them for their 2.0 pages.

xiggle you are confused by how things work i believe. All islands can be used for any type of boss, t3 boss, t4 boss, epic boss just depending on what type of stone you use to spawn them. He was stating the fastest killers on island one because when the zone is reset, the first available island to spawn a new boss is Island 1

It really depends if your unlucky on rampages or if your pet starts hitting the mobs from the front, ive had a bst pet live for hours on t3 trash, then die 3 times in a row in 5 minutes, as to t3 bosses, I normally have to resummon the bst pet about every 3 minutes, even with him hitting from the back. Not sure how necro pets compare to bst pets hp wise, but if they are significanly lower, it would be troublesome on the bosses. I have had a pet live through 90% of a t3 fight, but its been a rarity for them to even live 20%

This has lead me to some thought on the issue as well, as maybe a way to incorporate old world, non used zones into the picture. The way it would work would be similar to this, mini/chest spawn in pod would have a [%] chance to drop a note(work out that chance later). The note reads something like [item slot] - [zone] - [mob]. Example
[Bracer] - [Charasis] - [Drusella Sathir]
This tells you what item you can improve, the zone you need to go to, and the mob you need to kill in order to get your improvement. Having the note in your inventory is the only way to have the improvement item [ in this case, all/all bracer] show on the corpse, when the specific mobs is killed.
To make it so you cannot use this note again at a later time, [ the reason I chose bracer] you would then combine the note and the looted component in your magic box to make a new upgrade item. Once that is complete just use the magic box like normal. Upgrade item + ore + current class loot = new tier item. This in my opinion would at least help in getting some people out of pod for a time, and also be able to get improvements for their characters without waiting 4+ hours for another group to finish, as well as giving some old world zones some use that are currently not used hardly at all right now.

In the last 5 or so days the kronos spawn rate has been insane, many times both tiki's spawning him for groups at once, in a 5 hour camp of ice the other day i saw him spawn 9 times, then switched and did earth for another 3 hours and 4 more spawns, dont know if this thread has caused him to to upped or not, but his actual spawn rate has shot through the roof.
