I happen to like odd spells so I would probably be interested in something like:
- Wizard spell - Summons waypoint that (on "Enter group instance", "Enter Guild Instance") will spawn up a zone with no mobs (or mobs that spawn after 9999 hours), merchants, etc. Just a movement spell - IE - "Eh, I dont want to bother going through ___ zone just to get to ___ location. Lets go ahead and move to safe-postorms and do our thing." Kind of an odd spell.
- Cleric Spell - Expand on Mark of Kings to give a reverse ds thats worthwhile. IE - when melee hit a mob, it heals them for __ hps. Would absolutely make pet classes more viable. Could be given to druids / shamans if desired instead.
- Shaman Spell - The idea is that Shamans would have the ability to "Stone Skin" the raid (d&d). In a perfect world, this would actually just nullify all damage from the first swing that hit a player as the "healing them afterwards" will not help if they are, say, dead. This -may- be able to be implemented with a "Buff 200k hp, Heal 200k hp, Rune 1" which should give the players a crapload of hps that are present only for the first hit - at which time the rune falls causing the buff to drop. Recast time would need to be significantly large (~30min - hour).
- Shaman Aura - When running, will extend "Spirit of the Kraken" to -pets- within ___ radius.
- All Classes - Probably not a good idea buutt - Spell with new clicky that has a 1 pt damage, 5 second cooldown, extremely high range AE blast. The sole purpose would be to use it to gather mobs up when you are doing things in non-custom zones.
- Enchanter - Make a quest npc for enchanters that will give them a scroll if they turn in strike augment. The scroll should be an almost duplicate of their _doppleganger_ spells except that these will have a proc imbued on them that is -similar- to the augment turned in. IE - I turn in an icestrike 5 augment and I get a doppleganger spell that summons -me- as though I was wielding a weapon with an icestrike. Maybe 1/2 (1/4?) the actual damage? If the doppleganger spell does not allow for that (and it may not, by default), then the turnin could just be a pet-only spell that will add this proc. Definitely not as ideal, though. Eh, I have an enchanter now and I am just not getting much use out of him... this would make it more worthwhile at least.
- Enchanter - Upgrade the mana regen spells and make them single target and short duration. Say, 5k / tick - 3 minute duration. Would instantly make enchanters useful while also increasing the usefulness of wizards.
- Magician - Similar to enchanter: Create a spell that summons 5-10 "pets" (pet swarm) that have ~100 hp each but either deal a large amount of melee damage or have procs that would make this add up. Needs to be balanced mana / damage wise against wizards or this would turn out to be a better "nuke" than they should have.
- Magician - Move more towards the idea that magicians should be able to summon useful items. Perhaps magicians can summon a pet pack with better items than the fg/cg blades. No rent, obviously. Would be nice to see them also summon some extremely low hp items with extremely high focus effects. IE - Chest piece that has Focus "+100% Damage" would be interesting... "Do I want to trade 14k hp for an extra 20k dps?" style of questions. Might make having a shaman along for the hp buff (or bard) more of a pertinent question.
- Necromancer - I have no idea what would make this class stand out again. Depending on who you ask, their pets are horrible or great. Perhaps a pestilence type of spell that passes amongst close npcs (an effect already supported on the server). Maybe a disease that passes to close npcs that lasts ~10 minutes and does ___ /tick.
- Bard - Perhaps an AE HP buff (if this is actually possible)? Lasts 1 tick, Buffs ~15k-30k, Does not -heal- this extra hps.
- Bard - Probably a bad idea - 1 damage / tick dot that lasts for 1 tick that damages players in the same group / raid / ae radius. Should make bards / multiple bards a consideration for mobs that mez.
- Paladin - Buff that increases healing efficiency (oracle charm style) for other classes.
Ranger / Shadowknight - got nothing.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Friends - you guys rock! Hunter - Thanks for running the server. I am not always active but its a fun place to retreat to.
Enjoy your day and remember what you are thankful for... we sometimes lose sight of whats important and bringing that back into focus matters.

I hope this can stabilize the economy now. I have been working on traing my son to use my ranger to farm GLS's though, lol is that so terrible? Only if he is Chinese and you are not. "Quote of the Year - 2011" nomination here.

I was about to come on here and call BS because I saw vendors selling blue diamonds for 250. I buy one and go to sell it back expecting ~242 plat and got offered 125 plat.
Looks like "Merchant:BuyCostMod" was moved from 0.95 (server default) to 0.50.
Dunno.

I dont believe the nexus instability had anything to do with the amount of people in it or on the server.
After the server came up yesterday, the nexus crashed 4 times in the first 15 minutes. I know as I was trying to do some charm upgrades and found that it failed as I was upgrading at level 9, 10, 14, and 18. Lets just say at that point I decided to quit trying until the zone was stable.

This has been fixed and updated in Nexus.
Hailing the NPC will give you different based if you are finished with the task.

Oddly enough, this only kind of works. On toons that went through the task system it works fine. On a toon I had that is fighters guild from way-back-in-the-day, when he hails he gets asked if he wants to do a task. I had to try to enter the guild hall by typing "enter" to know, for sure, if I was flagged for it. Odd stuff for sure. (Note - I was hailing them because I forgot which guilds I had already done on this user).

Hey Hunter, Thanks for adding the rune to the ultimate charm. I keep finding, though, that I swap in a noob charm v2 to port and find that I never swap the ultimate charm back in. Could we get the noob charms updated so that they can be cast from any slot (not must-equip) and also castable from potion belt? The following SQL should do it: UPDATE peq.items SET -- castable everywhere, both 1 and 3 means "castable anywhere" but 3 also means "has charges that expend" so 1 is more appropriate clicktype = 1 , potionbelt = 1 WHERE peq.items.NAME = 'Noobie Item v1' OR peq.items.NAME = 'Noobie Item v2' Had considered that having the port clickies on chest would be more convenient but its 1) a larger update, 2) more complicated sql (not as easily eyeballed), and 3) would prohibit you from adding clicks to the chest in later armor sets.

Only one real interesting change from today I am afraid. - You can now track who loots an item for the first time. May make naming spells a bit more precise Secrets had made a pretty interesting change that would have affected EZ but it looks like he changed his mind and reverted it. Wonder why. Will be interesting when they get put back in (if they get put back in). Secrets: Bow damage above 400k-ish should now work. Secrets: Negative AC values should no longer exist, as all AC values are now sint32s instead of the improper sint16. In some cases they were uint32, this was corrected as well. Secrets: Backstab damage above 400k-ish should now work. Secrets: Critical Damage above 20 million or so should work. Secrets: The above are hackish fixes and should probably have their internal datatypes be turned into int64's throughout the code eventually. This is what SOE does on the client, but not over the wire. Secrets: Added new Perl Mob quest object TypesTempPet(NPCTypeID, [name=NULL, duration=0, target=NULL, followowner = 0]) Secrets: Fixed the negative AC fix. Fix? NOTE: If the Crit/Backstab/BowDmg/NegativeAC stuff cause issues, revert them

Hey Hunter,
I just did the CG task today on a new toon and found that it -did- succeed and give me a ring as expected. It did not, however, give me a "Hail" text from her that shows that I am in the guild. It also does not tell me that I can type 'enter' to enter the guild. It appears (incorrectly) that the only way to enter is via your ring and "Better hope you dont delete it"
It seems that you can still type 'enter' to her to get into the guild though.
It may be worthwhile to change her text so that she does not prompt you to do the task if you are already in the guild - and keep the "Say Enter to come into the Casters Guild" text. It may be confusing to a player who comes back, hails the chick to get in, and can't figure out how to get in.
