Shadow: Spawn time is up to 30 minutes, can respawn instantly after death.
In my experience he will not step below 10% (have had him step anywhere between 40% and 12%). Have had a couple zone crashes at 5-7% though.
Shadow drops at least 8 Red Magical Stones and a ton of Gems.
Can drop Ancient Druid Regeneration II
Always drops 1 sub-25 charm upgrade as would drop in LDoN (Sorc, Brawler, Guardian, Oracle).

I got it to work for one stone combine on SoD then kept getting an error that the "GemItem" varset would not accept new value.
So I loaded titanium and it worked.
One note: If you have clicky items in your inventory slots (I keep FG ring and Banker in 2 of them usually) the openbags script will right click them so you might want to put them inside a bag when you run the macro.

General Category / General Discussion / Re: EQ on Satellite Connection

Satellite internet is only really useful for one way (downstream) traffic, which makes it totally usable for things like web browsing, http/ftp downloads, or streaming video as those only need a minimal amount of traffic going out to them for requests.
Just the time it takes the radio signal to travel to and from the bird, you are looking at 250ms, add into that the other places latency comes in and you are most likely looking at a best case scenario ping of around 500ms. If you can play with a half second delay minimum on every key-press, more power to you.

Technically, because they are spawned as pets, they should already be.
Has anyone tested this? Would be nice to confirm though, and might be interesting to change them to raid buff type.
Hailing the banker does nothing at all, currently (just tested).

Spend a few bucks for a halloween pet, or wait for halloween to come by so you can get a clicky pet. As long as you're in either FG or CG you can hail it for buffs.
My idea was more for being lazy and not wanting to have to summon CG pets/etc for all my characters and have to hail them all. If I can summon a raid buff bot, like I can summon a banker, then I can just hail it once and everyone (and their pets) can get buffs.

So I was thinking how some classes have no type of pet they can hail for buffs out in the world. And then I was thinking, man it would be cool if there was a pet like the banker that you could buy (for a considerable sum, similar to banker) that would allow you to summon a raid buff bot that would last like 2 minutes and be on a 10 minute cooldown.
Maybe give it a goofy model too.

General Category / Suggestions / Re: Ez Economy Fix?
|
on: February 19, 2011, 11:49:20 am

The big problem with game economies in general is that people have this messed up notion that if they saw something go for a high price before, that MUST mean that is the actual value of it. This leads to people pricing things in a way that is unsustainable, and there is always vitriol spewed at people who are willing to sell things for lower than said "value" for "destroying the market".
My take on it has always been that I will sell items for what I consider a fair price for the time it takes me to make the deal. For t2 items, that is usually fairly low compared to what all of the people who complain about "man I can't sell t2 for 200k anymore qq" think is the value as I have my mage with me and can complete a sale in less than 5 minutes. To me, once I get past the price to make the instance, it is all gravy anyway.
I don't know what the economy was like before I started here a couple months ago, but it is obvious that the prices have come down. I know that I didn't bother to bid on a lot of things because of the sellers having unrealistic price minimums on their items and were in many cases, hostile to people who would give them honest bids of what they were able to pay for things. Sure, 50k might not SEEM like enough for a t2 BP to someone who thinks "they used to go for 500k", but that is 50k you would not have otherwise and is 5x the cost of a guild instance to boot.

It is a DD, takes it a couple seconds to hit after the castbar ends. I think it was doing like 4500 damage or so on my bard with a flux staff.

Can you do something different for the pet aggro? Or give another sword type to increase pet damage?
Fireblades are more DPS than the regular swords, but now if you don't use a Warrior with Nerd IV augs as a tank the pet takes aggro off of additional mobs and gets stomped.
