Thank you everyone.
I will continue to try EZ Server again. I did play on another server briefly last night that did have a tutorial, and I understand it now.
Thank you all for your patience, and I will see you in-game very soon.

Yeah... buying EQ was a waste of money in my opinion... the server seems great but there is no tutorial...
Just got WoW and a subscription to it, going to try it out for a while, and see how it compares to EQ/EQ2.

Hello all,
I'm new to Everquest. I was playing EQ2 for a long time, but I got bored with it. I knew about EQEmulator and was able to connect to the server the other day. I bought EQ off of Steam like the emu website suggested.
Anyway... I can't do OOC messages or any of that? It says I'm not allowed to?
How do I become allowed to do such things?
Also - would someone possibly have the time to show me around and such in-game? I found it lacks a beginners tutorial, which is something I feel I need. Like I said, I'm new to this and am anxious to play.
So far I've been playing on my Macbook under Crossover Games and it's been working like a charm, about to load it on my main computer and I would love to get on tonight.
Anyway, I would really like it if someone could help me out and help me get started and such.
Thanks so much!
Mitchell
