Brokyn, I kind of have the same problem. I run 5-6 boxes on Titanium though, with old models, no spell effects, etc etc.

But when one character zones or logs in it freeze's all my other windows for about 5-8 seconds.

Just wanted to provide some info from my experiences.

I run about 12 people in PoAir, but in an guild instance. With running kraken etc, spawning lots of different names over 3-4 hours without a crash.

What augs should you be running in your weapons from fear? Still kind of a noobie here myself.
