General Category / Suggestions / Re: Qvic Cazic Thule Armor idea

Once you have cleared QVIC for tokens to progress, those tokens just become rot. Perhaps if those tokens could be turned in to a "totem," type character, like in PoD, to spawn those specific Bosses in QVIC that will have a guarantee drop of an armor piece, (bracer, helm, feet, etc...). The type, (cloth, plate, chain, leather) could still be random.
You could farm for coins and still get lucky on the random drops as usual, but also turn in the coins later for a better chance at specific drops.
7 armor slots/ 14 coin types (excluding the Sand Monster Token): Two specific boss tokens spawns a random boss of that type that has a guarantee drop. No other item, essences, weapon drops.
For example: Aganetti the Keeper and Hext Iik Klokk tokens turned in will spawn one of those two bosses who will drop a bracer type.
Place the "totem" in the open area just before you go down the big steps to the main area for turn in/spawns.

Mage last night could not summon fireblades. Logged in just fine this morning and summoned fireblades just fine. (The x2 thing is pretty cool and should have been a feature long ago.) No crashes while in an HOH instance.
Beastlord pet will not summon blades and says it is "already armed." No crashes in same instance.

I think the level up wench may be bugged. I recently came back to the server (I had quit before the flagging system was changed) and I noticed one of my characters is unable to go past level 70 despite having full T2 armor and his 3.5 epic. The level up wench says "In order to advance, you have to do more than simply existing". Thanks Level 70? Shouldn't you be level 71 to be in full T2, and level 72 to have a 3.5? Sounds to me like you need to go back and do the QVIC coin quest to get flagged for level 71 first.

General Category / Suggestions / Re: Master of Illusions Mask? (Ultimate Illusion Mask)

I really like this idea. As I played a bard main on live and LOVED illusion items...maybe make it so that you could get the illusion items from LDON and get the master mask and then use essences to make the stats/hp/etc. better than the tier mask you can get.
+10,000 on a great original idea too!
Collecting illusions was a bit of an obsession of mine on live too. Thanks for your consideration, Hate.

General Category / Suggestions / Master of Illusions Mask? (Ultimate Illusion Mask)

A progression item similar to the UC or RoA quests.
NPC character (bard or rogue maybe) for turn ins.
Initiate the quest by turning in a certain number (3?) of old Norrath Illusion masks. (Iksar Hide Mask, Mask of Deception, Desiccated Halfling Mask, Mask of Obtenebration, etc...)
Recieve a Master of Illusion Mask with no stats or effects.
Turn in/combine an LDON illusion from level 6 along with the Mask to increase the stats of the mask and adding that illusion.
So how to use the illusions? I thought maybe, a dialogue box appears with the illusions that you have available to you. Click on the desired illusion. There could also be text that appears in the general chat box of available illusions that would work in the same way. Finally, the mask could summon the "Master of Illusions," much like the Banker, Waypoint, or Vendor. Hail him and he will offer you the available illusions that you have completed and cast it upon you.
Progression of the mask could enter into the upper tiers by collecting the illusions of the Gods, such as Rallos Zek, Cazic Thule, Innoruuk etc.
Just a thought as I was doing some spring cleaning on my bard and had nearly three full ten slot bags of illusions.

For your consideration, the Tradeskill Guild could grant members the ability to make some of the custom items/gear, "repaired," "improved," and "pristine."
For example, an uncommon drop in say T2, and the T2 BP, combined in a Tradeskill Guild only forge/sewing kit would return it to you as "repaired (insert BP name)" with a modest boost to AC. A rare drop from the same tier, combined in the guild forge/kit with a "repaired BP" would return it "improved" with a boost to stats, and finally an ultra-rare drop combined with the "improved BP" would give you a "pristine" version, with a boost to effects. A failure on this could be possible at any stage with a return of the original BP if a combine fails.
The same could be done for epics with say "sharpened," "reinforced," and "balanced." Sharpen could improve its damage, reinforced could improve its AC/stats, and balanced could improve its delay/effects.

I've seen LDoN three practically cleared from this mob's spawn point to the porter with a dwarf warrior standing there and the mob just beating on him. I went running past him to make it to the zone out, only to be practically one shottted by the warrior while trying to look for the descent stone in my gear. Made it to LDoN 3 a second time, only to have the same warrior come out of no where and wipe me out again.
He offered no res, which I know he has, and in tells when I asked him if he was doing this on purpose the only response I got out of him was "lol."
When it has happened from other folks, a res usually follows before I even have a chance to load up at my bind spot, but this guy was clearly doing it to grief other people.

General Category / Suggestions / The Case for a Wal-Mart Economy
|
on: August 31, 2010, 08:33:10 am

The economy of the EZ server, as it exists today, consists of:
- Fighters Guild/ Casters Guild items - Epic page runs or Killing Bosses - Loot Rights in higher tier Zones - Power Leveling
In short, we offer a great deal of services and very few items... oddly, not unlike the U.S.
I would like to suggest that we perhaps open up the items from Dulak as tradeable.
- They provide a market for those who would like to gear up their toons that are going through RoA - It will add some merchandise to the current, and very tiny market, that exists - It gives new players who are coming up through the custom zone leveling process for the first time a chance at obtaining gear as well as getting a foot hold into the servers economy - The zone has a level cap, (which I would recommend lowering it to 55), so it won't be overrun by higher level farming - People will not need to stay in Dulak looking for a full set of gear and can move on to other zones - These items are in no way game changers - We could actually have a real shopping experience beyond just CG/FG items
People have already started using the bazar and setting up toons for selling items and the general response has been very positive. I make this recommendation with the hope to see us expand the market to new items that fill a puropose and provide us with lower end, and more affordable items.

Bard is the only melee class that can use the CG ring, and when you get a raid buff from the pet or from the buff bot in SFG or Nexus it for some reason gives you a bug that makes it appear as if your health is stuck at around 75% or so. But, if you zone then the bug goes away and the HP rights itself. The correction adjusts the graphic to the actual HP you should have, and not the additional 25% that appears incorrectly. This is why you don't "regen" the remainder of the 25% that is shown.
It's annoying and can be confusing, but you haven't been cheated in anyway of the additional 25% of HP, because you shouldn't have had it anyway. This has at least been my experience with the buffs bug, but I am open to being corrected on this by those that know better.
As to the usefulness of bards, I have always played the class with the expectation that it is not my job to be one hundred percent necessary to any group, but to be the one thing that makes any group perform just that much better. Sure, every other class in the game can perform buffs, dps, etc. better than a bard ever will. Bards simply make those classes perform their actions better. That is our job. We make others shine.
It could be argued that the only classes necessary in the game is a warrior and a cleric and eliminate all other classes as "necessary" if you are solely focused on "end game" objectives, but I have always found that argument to be highly flawed. Just because two classes are capable of taking on every engagement in the game without any other classes assistance, does not automatically make all other classes "unnecessary" or unwanted. Warrior/Cleric filled groups are easy... and easy does not = better. Warrior/cleric/bard/ranger/monk/mage groups are more fun and way more challenging.
Edit: I should point out that the 25% figure was based on my own stats and experience with the bug and should in no way imply that your numbers should be the same.
Also, my group make up of "Warrior/cleric/bard/ranger/monk/mage" should in no way suggest that other classes /different makeup of the group would be any better or worse.

Question...
I was beginning the rank 59 baking skill last night and noticed in my skill window that my baking skill was at 250 while my working skill was only at 126 or so. I remembered the 99% baking mod was on the RoA and was curious about whether or not that meant that the grandmaster's baking spoon could be attempted without progressing further into the baking skill. I did not have the time to attempt, but was curious if this was the case.
