What about the option of changing race either upon first login or a quest to do so?  Although we have illusions (which are spiffy), the thought of having a halfling enchanter or a dwarven shaman would be wicked fun.

Downside?  Yes, some races don't have models for certain armor types, but the premise stays.
But... WAAAAHHH!!!  Rags, you're asking for EQ2.  Well, kinda, but why not?  Custom is as custom does.
Besides, if they made EQ2 zones look SOMETHING like their originals, more of us would have accepted it.

This has happened to Greensleaves and myself as well.  Since we steamed SOD/SOF prior to the d/l revision, we simply carry our coin with us - as weight factoring is removed.  If we need to x-fer, we switch between ourselves. 

I'd recommend that our one-box players consider making a second Server Login and make a toon specifically for personal banking purposes.
