I'm entertaining the idea of coming back after a long break and I was wondering if there is still a Christmas event.  Anyone have any info on that?  My last year playing was the first year the goblin Christmas event started.  I hope its still around.

Suggest to make it halfway between what it is and what it was.  Exp blows for lowbies til hoh then finally decently can chug away at aa items once in t5+.  That was my leveling experience, been some changes since.  Exp mask from higher level players was something nice to get but now its negligible from before.  Actually better off just farming up exp pots and using those instead of bothering with exp buff for my alts and other low chars.
100% buff for level 70 char to use for 1hr or die, instead of their own mask they begin leveling.  No big deal.
By 71, into t1 and exp still kinda blows.
72, now stuff getting good and guess what big bottleneck zone to overcome with exp availability that can come sporadically from higher players.
73, yep more same just friendlier to newer chars with less dissuasion for afk breaks from game because its just too much of a grind.

75: 600%
76: 700%
77: no limit

Get rid of UW clones and Charm Prism upgrades all together from special events like Christmas and Halloween.  Replace them with EoN and SLS.

Except many players deleted their gob uw to chance another that wasn't low rank.  I came across 5-8 goblin uws without cheating and only kept 1.  Keep it as it, don't put them in again.  They've already been nerfed to almost worthlessness and back.  Epic augs and all but uw proc were taken off.  Now epic is back.  I got 1 rk 9 1hb, this did not make the event fruitful.  Portal farming and a chance at gsoa were the only things in the event worth doing for me.  I did king first few days, then burnt all my maps I had stashed in 1 night.  After that I didn't go into portal again unless I was about to afk.  Delete portal to goblin island altogether, turn on nexus xmas portals leave stonehive off, giving players options to do stuff and not be interfered.
No matter wtf anyone wants to say, all I experienced is the event and a post that implied longer intent.  Event didn't go as long as suggested, rest has nothing to do with me.  If changes gotta be made, ok.  Let's turn it back on.

PoI is a bit cramped with the way zone walls work.

Hate, can we remove invulnerability in SFG?  In SH and Nexus it counts down, while SFG its permanent making it something you gotta remove on all bots to do stuff in that zone.

After many boxes, I'm finding the essence of gingerbread and burnt gingerbread rate to be at least 25%+ (maybe 40%) in reds (can we make gingerbread illusion spell lore too?).  At least 1/4 my presents are automatically going to be deleted since the vast majority of my presents are red.  Can we rush this fix please?
The other huge fix I find that rushing would help everyone is portal to goblin island.  Someone posted above hailing would make this better.  100% agree, atm I am targeting npcs behind my portals and attacking them then sticking to me until all my alts go through.  This way I am getting most my bots in nearly every portal, except some.  Hailing would not only fix this but also fix issues with gates pop while running through goblins, or fighting around a portal, then zoning to island before able to finish killing/looting.

Anyone else notice a dramatic reduction in portal spawns and goblins as well?  This event seems like its been child proofed in response to the complaints.  Not getting nearly as many portals to goblin island as I was, nor anything else.  Besides presents, loving the presents.
Is there a way to add some kinda suicide mode for those of us that want constant mass stuff?  If that's the case then portals would be much more common.
I know some players can only handle a few portals at once.  I didn't say anything about others asking for changes because I thought it was great in that regards.  Now I'm waiting as long as I spend killing.  I can solo portals with my raid before there were any changes, if any, and began inviting others to join me.  Now there are less portal spawns than I have ever seen and we're downing faster than ever.
However spawns were before any reduction in rates was perfect!  Also some bugs to report that is making all of this even less productive.   I have been seeing a lot of portal emote spawns that don't spawn portals.  I have also consistently seen a red portal (to 78) spawn in center of nexus that can't be attacked, also might be consecutive spawns of these instead of nothing spawning during emote can't tell when stacked and invulnerable.  And consistently getting portals to island that no char can enter.
Must kill goblins.

Is there any chance we can make it so we can combine these augs to upgrade them?  I got about 3 dozen 1-10 augs, maybe 3 xi and possibly 1 being xii.  Unless we can combine them, many are getting destroyed.

Have the portal to goblin island spawn rate changed?  I farmed for about an hour before seeing one now, after repopping previous zone, remaking it, then farming new zone for about 15 min finally got portal to spawn again.  Just so happens this particular portal I cannot journey through at all, none of my chars can... Can't figure out where trigger point is, I see the portal doodad though.
I don't know if bugging or spawn rate changed, but if it changed then it might've killed the value of doing it with such a low rate.  Otherwise, I'm down to kill me some more kings as long as I can go through the portal! =D
On another note, thanks for adding presents for killing portals!  Even if I can't go to island, this is alright.  Do green presents also drop from portals or anywhere else?

I figured it out.  Sharing as little as possible, send tell in game if you want the spoilers.  Secret to it all, just keep killing in your own private instance until port.
Also, the expensively wrapped gift dropped worse stuff for me than the other presents, although guaranteed aug perhaps.  Intended to include lowest ranked augs?
Also, the mechanism that ports me ported my raid entirely first go around.  2nd trip through port and only warrior went and had to solo to complete, slow grind but doable.
I really like this event, I just can't get anything useful to go to the char with the presents.  Always randomizing after looting the item initially just puts less player choice in the mix and makes it a tremendous pain to put any of these items on any of your chars unless you just get it right the first time.. or actually get augs your level to drop.

Edit: portal spawns in nexus briefly that doesn't line up with its location.  Gotta run around if to find port spot.
Edit#2: might wanna extend the duration that portals to goblin island remain up, or fix them.  I often struggle with all my chars to get them through.

Since Christmas and giving go together, I had an idea to upgrade the drops of prismatic charms in these boxes.  I have been looting on my warrior that's level 78, as boxes require level checks to open and well just survive the stampedes of goblins.  Not a single charm I have looted, nor any other player my level is useful to them, while an item that gives a guaranteed charm (after you got random gift originally) as gift or charm itself to another player would be tremendously amazing during this event.  Especially once double loot affects them!  The evolution of re-gifting can be twice the giving! haha
Also if we do this, any chance we can do this with other gifts? I looted the goblinstrike/icestrike on my war that is lower level and would be amazing on twink chars or surprise a newb!

The burnt gingerbread item isn't working for me. I use it on myself after equipping and I am fear immune.  I use on mobs outside of combat and it doesn't take hold.  Haven't tried it on another character.
For those curious, I got a goblinstrike x aug, equivalent to same level icestrike and no drop.  Aslo a gingerbread illusion clicky for anyone and spell for enchanter.  Lotta potions and some platinum too.  Also some prismatic charms, in about half to 1/3 the boxes.  Seen two types of presents drop rarely from goblins, red and black boxes.  Potions in both, more often in black.  Potions tend to overwhelm your inventory very fast, so I just been deleting them as I get them.  They are potions forms of spells from all over game, including t10.
Since items come in presents you got to open, you don't know what your char will or won't get.
Also, I have been killing the portals.  Some are not attackable, but all have been since i saw those.  No loot from them and from what others have said.  Unlikely, that killing them is meant in the event.  They are beefy.  Stopped killing them since no loot and very slow kills.

Be nice to have access to halloween vendor year around while points only available during event.  I didn't get IG to drop for all my characters and I have enough credits for them.  Being as t10 deaths are huge, I'd definitely like to be able to replace CTs on my alts before the next halloween event.  I do not believe myself to be the only player that could benefit from this as well.  Familiars are available through EZ creds, don't see any problem with this since players already farmed halloween points.
Other thing I was wondering about is SoA.  The current SoA pricing was for a slightly different shield iirc.  I didn't have SoA then, but I remember almost a year ago seeing a version with some other bonuses on it, something affecting pets too.  Since this is no longer on SoA, was the price ever adjusted for the change?  Been considering SoAs for t10, plat cost and all around cost though is huge.  Also, any chance on adding heroic stats to SoA?  Heroic stats are on higher tier items, I am thinking heroic stats at least on SoA levels.  If price on SoA remains the same, I'd definitely like to see high heroic stats on it in comparison to tier gear to make it even more appealling for dps to grind this item out.  Late tier heroic stats won't make much difference for warriors that normally get the SoA anyways as soon as they can afford it after some damage.
Btw, in case anyone is curious.  I did that calculations, feel free to check.  I sure didn't double check.  I rounded my own values on ores, and got plat cost to be around 64M, sls cost at 250k each is 17.5M, EoNs at 2.5M each for 27.5M, and essences using common prices is 46M.  Total of 155M in plat.  I wouldn't buy the entire SoA obviously, put it in plat for myself.  To my dps I wouldn't benefit enough to make any difference from 155M invested on them except for t10.  I know SoA isn't necessary, it is also unlikely for many players beyond their tank with this cost.
