If you want to be nostalgic you can kill in the non-custom zones for the regular gear. Or, kill in the custom zones and get much better gear.

Mistimoore: Primal & Kunark armor
Dulak: Vexthal/SSra/Planar gear
BoT:Elemental/Time gear
Time: GoD gear
LDoN: Anguish gear
Qvic: PoR gear
Everything after that is custom.

Found what i needed to find, had to read the emu forums a few times to locate it but ... wow i hate windows 7, its the same security headache as vista with the uac ... personaly if i clicked the f'n file apparently i want to take the rick of fricken opening it.

Control panel > User's Accounts > Change User Accounts Control Settings > Turn off

No more annoying pop-ups when you install stuff

I've run into 2 of the mobs, one is in one of the side rooms on the spiral-staircase, other is two rooms before the stairs.
It's the sand-people mobs. I think they are called subduers...

Only possible suggestion I have is to try removing(cut them to your desktop) the following files from your EQ directory and try logging in.:

eqclient.ini
Owie_EZ (Linux) x4 Exp.ini
UI_Owie_EZ (Linux) x4 Exp.ini

If that does NOT work, copy those back into your EQ directory and hopefully the server stops being emo. /shrug

If removing those files does work, put one file back into the EQ directory one at a time and try logging in. If it crashes after you put a file back into your EQ directory, log out and delete the file you last put in.

Uninstalling and reinstalling will not remove the ini setting files, so I'm thinking maybe something has gotten corrupt and was not removed.

Never had this happen...hopefully this will work for you. =)
