I don't remember the brand names. I can search Google and find them and link them if you want.

Those videos were 2 years old, and the dash cams are probably 3 years old now. There is much better stuff out by now.

I've tried several dash cames from $75 - $350 range and yes most of them are disappointing.

After having a few, certain things to look for when making a choice.

1) Get 1080P HD so you can read license plates.
2) Get easy to mount with suction cup, not permanent sticky pad, so you can change trucks easier
3) 2" display helps, such as the direction its focused on (My 1st one was 1080P but no display screen)
4) Night Time - The night vision IR stuff is bs, makes glare on the windshield, so find whatever quality you can with or without IR that is decent at night
5) Max GB SD or MicroSD card allowed, most seem to be 32GB but newer ones allow up to 64 - 128 GB
6) length per clip durations (1 min, 5 min, 10 min, etc) most seem to have a brief 1 second pause between recorded clips.
7) Does have audio, and if so ability to mute? Sometimes I'd rather not record my phone conversations onto the video
8 ) Extreme Temps - I had one lock up when in the sunlight, got too hot.

One Dash Cam advertising has SONY Exmor CMOS Sensor for better quality.
