I put a fresh steam version of global load into the folder and i couldn't get past the character select screen. Weird.
A copy from Steam is way different from the format in which the current UF client is programmed to understand and parse.
You need a fresh vanilla copy of the GlobalLoad.txt from the UF version. I'm sure someone has it around here.
