I had played with underfoot for years, 6 box, one hard drive, 6 GB ram.  Hardly ever lost a character while zoning.  After switching to RoF2 (which rocks), I lose one to two per zone.  I ran through the optimization guide many times to make sure i haven't missed something there.

I've tried running all from one directory, and also where just my main is from one directory, with the other 5 from a lighter directory.

I have both of the eqgame.exe's and their shortcuts to run in compatibility mode for WindowsXP SP3 as "Administrators" as suggested.  I do not run MQ in compatibility mode.

Any suggestions on what i should check next?

Below are a few lines from the dbg.txt file that appear multiple times (clipped in just lines with a "failed" and a few others, not in any order):

Fist thing: Where did you get the client? - if from anywhere other than the guide on here, then get that one - <<----Link on the side menu

Second: move it out of program files to the main drive, so it isn't in a windows system folder, (always run from none system folder)  eg C:\everquest_rof_full\

Third: those errors are pretty normal, have similar fails in my dbg.txt but boxes always zones ok, when i use rof, still using uf mainly lol

Hope it helps, but  somebody else may jump in with other thoughts =)

Edit
Also have a look at this, i'm sure it's posted on here as well somewhere, this may also help

Thanks for the tip, will move them out of that directory.  I did get the download from the links on the site here.

Will try it out in the morning tomorrow.

Thanks for the ideas and that link as well Chieftan.  I moved my directories, and gave real time priority to EQBCS.  Played a good portion of the day zoning my main in and out of the Abyss, left the group inside.  First time i tried to zone everyone out another one crashed.  in the Task Manager it just says eqgame.exe Not Responding.

Any other ideas?

Not really sorry =( it maybe memory/cpu related, but not that well up on that side

Only thing i could suggest, is try running in normal mode, not compatibility mode, i run all my clients on win10 normal mode without issue

Hopefully, someone with a bit more knowledge can help, maybe give us a brief rundown on pc specs may also help

That's normal for me when I'm overworking my computer. Just forced close it and reload that client. Try not to move everyone between zone at once and see how that goes.

If there's nothing you can do about computer hardware, then try downgrading the client usage with this - http://ezserver.online/forums/index.php?topic=2988.0
