Hey Guys, new player here

Hi, i just downloaded the rof2 client and MQ2 and put in the EZ server files. I was able to log in no problem, and create a character. But I'm in pretty much darkness, I can see the npc names but that's about it. I've adjusted gamma and clip plane and nothing has much of an effect.

I guess I'm not high enough level as I can't speak in the Chat channel's yet, was trying to get some help there.

I'm currently in FOB at that zone in, and killing things that are attacking me. I'm not moving as I have no idea what is around me.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Update:

Well, strangest thing, everything is an off white...can't see anything except npc names. I found my way to the POK stone from FoB and when I zone into POK, everything looks proper...i zone back into FoB and it all is off white again and can't see anything...bazaar

I can't talk in any channels to ask for help until a certian level I guess...i made it to level 6, but that still isn't high enough...Maybe 10 will allow me access to the chat channels. Tough to level though when you can't see anything ;(

Well, I leveled to 8 so I could speak in the chat channels. A few guys were helpful with ideas, unfortunately none of them worked. So I uninstalled the game and started from scratch from the wiki site. I used that on the first install as well. After following the instructions exactly, I logged in and same thing happened. Game looks great in POK, but I can't see a thing (except npc names) once I zone into Field of Bone.

I'm not sure what's wrong. bummer

take a screenshot and post it here so we can see. (hit print screen on keyboard then paste it in paint and save)

it appears that it was my MQ that was throwing things off, once unloaded everything looked correct. Now i need to figure out how to add MQ and not throw it out of whack.
