I looted a Malevolent Pricker from T5 with a Base damage amount of 2160. I replaced my TOFS Dirk from floor 4 with it.  The TOFS dirk has 1k less base damage. Odd thing happened, the backstab damage from the new T5 dagger was almost non existent. I was backstabbing for like 189 -1160 vs 300k's with the TOFS dagger.

Does anyone know whats going on? I removed all augs from both weapons and it's remained the same.

Sure would be nice to get the added damage!

Any info is good info thanks !

Malevolent Pricker

- vs -

Magnetic Dirk of Distraction or Embalmer's Skinning Knife

The difference I can see is that the ToFS weapons have backstab bonus damage, and pricker does not *shrug*

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I missed those two and the junk drops (Crystalline ____). I just fixed them as well. The intention was the have the BS bonus coming from the rogue class aug instead of the weapon. The only exceptions are the UW daggers. :-P

I will review the augs though and see if a small increase can be made. :-)

Hate - so when I put the 4.0 rogue aug in the T5 weapon it didn't change the BS at all. Is that a bi product of one of the changes being made? Also, even if the 250 BS damage was added to the 1500 would it still fall below the base damage of the t5 dagger? I apologize for my ignorance.

Basically I was thinking the t5 dagger was going to be an upgrade but it's not. :/
