Sup dudes and dudettes, I've been gone for a year and a half and pretty much forget everything ever, so what threads should I read first? All my chars are T3/4 and 4.0'd. I think T6 was getting ready to come out when I left, so whenever that was. Halp!

Same boat here. There was no way I was putting up with T5, so Im wondering if theres any alternative yet.

T5 and T6 are pretty fun so you should have a good time coming back, UCs are 5x easier to get so that helps.

T5 can go fly a kite - still the biggest speedbump on the server if you ask me.
Stuff passed that, is much like the first 4 tiers, and nothing like the 5th :-)
I'm not sure that reward items were so easy to obtain when you last played, but getting the group summon item in T5 is a pretty big help.

Other than the obvious issues some people had with water, I thought T5 was the best effort that Hunter has made for EZ. It was a challenge. It required patience, and a community effort to figure out what spawned what. It also took long enough for players to get fully geared to allow Hunter enough time to work on other things.
If killing lots of different things to find the items you want is not your thing, then I'd suggest something other than a game based on EQ...

Someone mentioned UC being easier? How so? I quit amidst UCing my first char. increased drop rates perhaps?

Tower of Frozen Shadow has increased drop rates for charms. Floor 2 is especially good for v1 charms. I hear floor 5 is great for V2 charms. Charm rate drops for LDoN was greatly increased but spawns were chained. HoH is about the same but with higher tiers and UW, can be farmed faster.

I farmed ldon 6 for my first rank 25's, it is quite easy with chained mobs and the rate is ok.
HoH might have the same droprate, but increased cash and I think in general easier.

Rooted. If you run past they reset. Can only kill 1-3 at a time depending on placement, which makes it easier for new people. And since you can't train he upped the droprate considerably.

Underwater is annoying but gets less so over time.
Now that I can kill in t5 at a reasonable rate it doesn't seem as daunting.
23 bosses to go!

T5 does seem to get easier each time you go back. It is a good way to meet people as well, many folks team up to do T5. I've teamed up with a bunch of different players doing T5.
