Users that were using bad words (cursing, racial, sexual, etc) are now suspended or banned depending on offense (and my mood).

Suspended for 7 days: Sukydro, Dubr (just the offending box for now).
Banned for life: Mackenzie/Mayer (2boxer)

Screenshots are easy, and if you do that, make sure you gate a date/time on it, and then email me the original pic. For 100% suspend/ban chance, make a fraps video of the player. I will also be logging as much as I can afk as well.

Hello everyone, my character Sukydro was recently temporarily banned for "use bad words (racial, sexual, etc)". After a long, hard week at university, theres nothing I would rather spend a couple hours doing after school than playing my favorite game, on my favorite server. Unfortunately, to my surprise when I got to the server selection screen and tried to log on to the EZ server, i got a message saying my account was suspended! Apparently someone was offended by something I had to say during my time on the EZ server, and Hunter did not give me any warning or even a chance to say my side of the argument, this is my side of the story.

If the person petitioning you/ accusing you has pictures or a video, thats all the proof needed

Not Danyelle, surely that was a Troll? He's done only good for the server..couldn't see why he'd be banned. He's only ever helped everyone that's ever asked. My two cents though, but it may not be warranted since I do not know the situation. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Just crazy talk, y'know...

Truly hope this is just a troll, Dany has been nothin but awesome on this server, always awnsering noob questions tryin ta help out whoever she can, If it is warranted well, sorry to hear it, wish i could hear the story so i wouldnt be so like "wtf, whats goin on here?"  And hope its not about her fixing the brawlers charm.

S/He is grouped in with the folks that got banned for the long sexually explicit conversation in OOC yesterday, not saying the ban was from that, but it could be a possibility

I heard some nasty things on the OOC today/yesterday but I didn't see danyelle say anything. say it isn't so.  I barely know danyelle, but as far as i knew thats a solid EZ server vet.

Hunter, I don't know if you have used it or recommended it to your players yet or not, but the /report command has been functional for a while now and will low the last 10 lines of chat from the reported player into your reports table.

To use it, just type "/report playername", and I think it will report anything they have said within the last 10 lines of text, or something like that.  I haven't played with it much, but it does work.

Its a good feature if what you have to show can fit into 10 lines of text.
Also, because Hunter uses his email so frequently for other requests, it only makes sense to email pictures of conversations or /ooc chat you think he should see.
Kinda like a central repository for complaints, suggestions, etc..

I talked it over with Hunter, based on the specific details of this event we are going to unban Danyelle and let him off with a warning.  Hunter will reinstate the account when he gets back home from work.

i dont want to be a burden. but its unfair to unban someone and not the rest because of their reputation. the crime that was committed was the same and the punishment should also be the same, i guess this is just a reflection of corruption in the social arena of america. shame on you hunter

Other than log on and whine in OOC you really wasn't doing much besides causing drama.

i had my bad days yes, but overall i felt that i was a productive member of the ez server. i got 2 epic 3.0s and helped a lot of people get epics/gear/keyed too. i dont understand why so many people hate me enough to not want me back (although i already made another character with a separate account). im not trying to bother anyone and yes ive learned that certain things should be left for private chat and not the whole server to see. hopefully this issue can be resolved in a different manner.

Well, all i can say is woot for Dany, solid/functioning member of EZ server.

He said after he reviewed the screenshots/videos he decided to let danny off with a warning. Obviously if you asked him to look at your screenshots/videos again, he probably did and saw no reason to change his mind. Hunter has done this for plenty of no name people. look at that one guy who went from a 7 day to 1 day suspension. He has been one of the most understanding GM i've seen in a long time.

Hunter has been doing an excellent job and under no circumstances whatsoever should anyone judge his decisions when it comes to his server...not out loud anyway lol....He can ban or suspend people for no reason if he really wanted too or if as he would say "mood" isnt right :), he does 1000 things at once and does it to the best of his abilities each thing and it should be more than good enough for everyone...take it easy Icarus :P

ya idk really, people got offended by the convo and isnt really my problem. i made a new account and new characters and i already have a few lvl 70s. no big deal. i just feel bad for the people who actually have to sit there and record this stuff and see who's doing what. that would be the worst job lol

Well technically its everyones job.  EZserver is a people policed server and hunter has said that over and over.  Its not one persons job, everyone should police each other to make it an environment for everyone to enjoy.  If ya dont like it there are plenty of other servers.

I think people just want to get others banned to possibly lower server population...and make Lower Guk Fighters guild drops easier to get a camp.

Yes you could say babysitting folks like you is a terrible job, but someone has to do it. May as well be me.
Luckily im not the one with banning authority, i would have made sure there was no way to come back. But thats why Hunter is the lead and im just a player *shrug*

All this banning almost makes you have to worry about who you are grouping with or talking to.

I am sure Hunter is pretty good though when it comes to weeding out the actual offenders.

Well you  know group and guild chat, and of course tells arent under the same contraints as global chat. If someone in your group gets offended they just leave. Someone in the guild gets offended, just apologize and move on, etc...

Public channels and private channels are different and should not be ruled the same.

OOC is to everyone to see.. some young, some old.  You have people that dont care on what is written in OOC... hell I dont even read it most of the time cause I am busy... when i do though and I see spam or rape talks, makes me wonder... wtf?

Just think a second... people are talking about rape and stuff... think they are funny and all.. bla bla... but someone that is actually reading all this was a rape victim? how do you think that person would feel? I dont talk by experience of course but I can only imagine.

There is subjects that you dont talk about in public chats.

My first advice if you dont want to get banned.. stay away from these subjects!
