Title: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: hateborne on December 01, 2015, 12:41:23 pm Post-T10 Grocery List!
Yes, T10 is finally out and nearly bug free. It's time to dump most of the upcoming things to look at, adjust, improve, add, etc etc. I'm breaking this up into two sections. Projects are either actual large undertakings or somewhat short undertakings with HUGE gains for everyone (quality of life improvements). Classes are obviously class related changes. The class section will contain archetype like changes (i.e. pet classes, tanks, etc). Finally, not everything here is final or even going in at all. Most of it will go in, most of it will see some level of change before implementation, and most of them are genuinely here to improve the gameplay for all. REMINDER: Sh*tposting or QQstorms without any actual argument/contribution will be outright deleted. I am expecting heated debates, I just want them to stay debates and not turn into insult wars or QQ storms...as they often do. Projects:
Classes: Bard:
Beastlord:
Cleric:
Druid:
Enchanter:
Mage:
Paladin:

REMINDER: Sh*tposting or QQstorms without any actual argument/contribution will be outright deleted. I am expecting heated debates, I just want them to stay debates and not turn into insult wars or QQ storms...as they often do. -Hate 1 : With "Aspect of <Element>", I mean a singular pet buff that would "focus" the pet similarly to how the old world pets used to function. i.e. Aspect of Earth might add another 10% hp, 5% resist all, and proc'ing AoE threat. Aspect of Fire might increase the damage dealt from spell procs, in addition to "igniting" the target. Aspect of Water might allow to pet to heal from damage done as well as be significantly more dodge-friendly. Aspect of Air might allow the pet an AoE proc over single target proc (at damage reduction). 2 : I understand that lowering the Stonewall amounts will HEAVILY affect combat. Mob damage will be adjusted accordingly as well, ON A TEST SERVER, before this change would go live. :) Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kemaal on December 01, 2015, 01:09:30 pm What is the difference between "scripted loot" and "loot table"?
Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: hateborne on December 01, 2015, 01:28:49 pm What is the difference between "scripted loot" and "loot table"? Sorry, some of the notes are almost strictly dev bits. It means double loot can be more easily turned on without reboot, loot amounts can be changed on the fly, and items can be added/removed on the fly. It's also a lot easier to debug than the built-in setup for loot drops. -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Expletus on December 01, 2015, 02:15:57 pm With the stonewall reduction are you looking to make sk/pal levels the same as warriors or will warriors still hold a slight advantage? Also will u be revamping the warrior epic and or soa click with it? Warriors are still the god of melee mit. Period. SKs, in my mind, are more spell blocking than physical blocking. Paladins are that nice middle ground. So, in terms of values: Warriors > Paladins > SKs In terms of actual numerical values, not sure yet. This will take me testing it on a test server before dumping it live as it's a HUUUUUGE change with very very far reaching consequences. The net benefit is reduction difficulty in reaching "peak" Stonewall (specifically, Halloween pets no longer feeling required to tank some tiers) and non-tanks lasting more than 1 round. -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Expletus on December 01, 2015, 02:48:40 pm Do u want suggestions on class changes in this thread or class threads already on the board?

Vicious Ice - Turn this into a self buff that procs similar to mana neck for pet and bst lord Have the pet do an AOE debuff proc on mobs that does 10% slow and buffs group by 5% skill dmg mod Growl of the panther - just make that 100% all skills dmg mod (75 from hulkamania II and 20 from the spell itself). Get rid of Hulkamania or vice versa Ascendant Essence line - III has 500 per tick mana, 1000 hp per tick - That's not even a tickle. How about 8k hp (druid is 12k at this lvl) and 750 mana (KBI III is 1k tick) Would give you part druid, enchanter, buff existing line and give you more dps but not over the top. That's all i came up with after 10 mins :( Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Chunka on December 01, 2015, 04:06:12 pm I liked the way that live BST pets could be "customized" for different circumstances by casting different pet buffs.....they could snare, slow, debuff, etc, all based on what buff the BST cast on them. I think it'd be cool if you could do something similar here, and in a way that made the BST far more desirable to a team. Some ideas?
Added buffs to BST pets that would proc: Workable slow Double attack/flurry debuff Reduced rampage Resist debuffs Riposte reduction Raw damage (make em just heavy dps, but make the pets a bit weaker hps/stonewall to compensate) Just some ideas And as much as I hate the thought of stonewall being reduced, you pretty much have little to no choice. Right now SW numbers are completely absurd and you have no choice but to make mob damage SO heavy to compensate that any other class will get 1 rounded on riposte or ramp. So....good call, Hate. I like the way that you are making pet classes more caster that /pet attack classes.....mana neck changes for example. Keep on in this! Also, regarding necros....would adding Incisor to the Death line be overboard? And/or adding epidemic to Death? The former might make them a lot harder to kill....but the latter would let them become viable AE dps under all circumstances. Hell, I'd even settle for a sensible reduction in the AE dot damage if epidemic were included in Death cast! Love the pally ideas. Would be nice to see them become more than just an autoattack heal box. Anyway, will add more later. Add them here (this thread) and I'll totally add noteworthy suggestions to the list! :-D Mage used to be my main and I love soloing now and again. However, soloing multi-mobs was a huge PITA because of managing pet aggro since they don't AOE. I'd love some solution (e.g., pet buff spell) that allows pets some small AOE hate so that I don't get bumrushed on the first heal. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Leis on December 03, 2015, 03:29:24 am Wish list? Ok here is a few things I would love to see.
*Mobs like Greed in t7 getting a hitbox fix. He is a third the size of Lust and has a hitbox thats at least twice hers. *Refugees need a small speed increase. Doesn't have to be much but its annoying to move for 2 seconds then wait 15 for them to catch up. *Server announcements getting moved out of the other chat filter. *Pets are losing permanent buffs when zoning. *Add the ability to make pets equip whats in the summoners pack when its right clicked. This way if you don't have the correct items equipment you don't need to rezone/resummon. Also, its awesome that you guys ask for player input like this! Edit: *With the stonewall change, it would be great if we had options on how to get the stonewall to cap. Say 75-80 of the stonewall cap from items(epics/sota) and the other 25%+ from any variety of spells/pets. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Rent Due on December 03, 2015, 12:09:43 pm I wanted to address Bard issues
Bards have a lot of great songs to offer the group, one man band, temptest, etc I would like to see something that bards could have that is totally unique to them and move them into more of a "needed" role, vs a "good to have around" role. One thing I can think of, and thinking of T10 would be a Melee Mitigation Song. A group only song version and an AOE song version. Clearly the group only version would be the better of the 2 songs. Something along the lines of 10% group only song and maybe 5% AOE song, noting that both songs can NOT stack. Another song that comes to mind would be a group only and AOE song that actually raised the resist caps, a song that would take you from say 3500 resists to 3800 resists when played. I think a fair value would be along the lines of 750 group song version and 400 AOE song version. Another thought is spell damage boosting song, a song that would affect the spell damage of the casters as well as our striker melee hit. Again, group and AOE versions with a low value of something like 6% group only and 3% AOE. IMO these would be some ideas to fool around with that would actually bring our bard back into the core raid groups. Clearly the bard will never be as important as the tank or healers, however some defining songs that would make people thing seriously about adding a bard to that 2nd group or even the core group. The bard has historically been the Jack of all trades class. However in our world I think Bards have lost their luster to really bring NEED to the raid and lost even more luster to be in our core groups. Clearly bards have some of these songs already or aspects of them, however they don't always seem present in a way that you notice a difference when the bard is absent. I think it would be great to have the bard have a noticeable difference when present Just something to think about Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Rent Due on December 03, 2015, 12:12:47 pm I wanted to address Bard issues Bards have a lot of great songs to offer the group, one man band, temptest, etc I would like to see something that bards could have that is totally unique to them and move them into more of a "needed" role, vs a "good to have around" role. The group damage reduction would be too powerful imo, pushing them in the bracket of being 'required' rather than preferred. I would really like to see the Nillipus song put back into the old scaling it had. It really never was "omg overpowered" so I don't follow on why it had to be nerfed. It was the only thing letting my melee attack bosses in t8 during the Rampage era. Sure, the 1 million HP rune was a bit over the top then, but that was before tier and Ult Weapons had their HP values swapped out, allowing boxes to have more than 1 million HP. Back then, the Nillipus song was effectively doubling the HP of your entire group and prevented many many many many many many many rampage deaths.
To recap on Rent's post: Elemental Acapella and Purifying Acapella both increase heroic resists. The t9 resist song does not for some reason and has always been a waste of a song. There is a new rank of Purifying Acapella in t10, haven't found Elemental though. These songs are raid wide. As for spell damage, their epic click provides that to a degree. It seems to just buff non-magic type damage though (fire ice poison disease) whereas the enchanter line VT buffs magic type. When One Man Band is up, all Firestrikes and Mistress of Flame procs see a significant boost in damage. Also, having 2 bards in my raid I've never had a caster or healer go oom from this song spamming even the most expensive instant cast spells. Mitigation song: Nillipus was once a beast of a song, now it's just crap. Maybe just remove the AC if that was the part scaling out of control, but restore the physical rune because it will be amazing for a rampage buffer once again. -------------- My turn 8) Ranger epic click is neat to play with, but the % chance to root may as well say "% chance to randomly kill somebody at least once a day if you use this" The Ranger epic has hidden procs baked in: chance to snare, chance to root, chance to make mob take 10% more physical damage, and 1% chance to death touch. The snare really doesn't matter, the root is awful, the Trickshot Crushing Defeat (10% more damage taken) is AMAZINGGGGG, and the 1% chance to death touch I don't even notice because mob hp is massive. Even making all 18 characters use Voice of Cazic death touch on a crushbone juggernaut his HP barely flinched. Also the ranger spell line: Rain of Arrows seems to hit for physical damage and be unresistable. What this means is the rangers pegs himself in the head everytime he casts it for 400k to 1.5 million damage (rank IV). It is a really cool spell though, but I can't use it because he keeps killing himself vs rampage mobs. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kruciel on December 03, 2015, 12:43:14 pm Clerics ---
With the stonewall changes in the future, I'm scared my cleric will lose his most valued spell at the moment (tower of vie III). I'd like to see a few mega changes thrown at this class. First: Get rid of Amplify Healing altogether. It's nothing but a headache when implementing new spells to make them all multiply to be roughly the same result, not to mention it isn't really doing what it's supposed to right now, which is leaving cleric heals doing pathetic amounts. To accomplish this, let them use Focus Healing once again, change their base heal amounts on the custom spells to be in line with other classes, and add them on to the SHM DRU range item in ToV, the one that provides an upgrade to Focus Healing. Benefits to this: adding spells later on becomes less of a headache, easy way out of fixing Amplify Healing which isn't multiplying properly for some reason, and it'll be easier to compare and contrast the heals once they're all on equal footing. I can't use my full team in t10 because my cleric couldn't keep a melee alive in his group if his life depended on it, so I have a melee riding the bench for now. Also, perhaps the Vie line could be changed to a Divine Intervention line instead. The old Divine Intervention spell really isn't going to do anything with how much HP our warriors have these days. I know the custom DI clicky Hunter built for the rewards (which has since been removed) proced a 100 mil heal or something on proc. So here are my thoughts: Tower of Vie: Divine Save (75%) + proc 1 million hp heal - 7 minute duration - 20 minute recast Tower of Vie II: Divine Save (80%) + proc 2.5 million hp heal - 7 minute duration - 20 minute recast Tower of Vie III: Divine Save (85%) + proc 10 million hp heal - 7 minute duration - 20 minute recast Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: balidet on December 03, 2015, 02:19:36 pm small side note...

Add bonus proc of healing by 20% If the druid epic was made into a targeted AOE, I would actually use it. But the fact that it's PBAE takes it out of the equation for me. I don't have a 3rd viable group healer, so my 5 ranged classes are told to stay far out of rampage range of whatever I'm fighting. If I could simply have the druid click the epic and cast the aoe off of the warrior, I'd love it. But yeah, I'm not putting my druid in melee range to use this at the moment. So that's my advice for it, change PBAE to targeted AOE (the green spells) and up the damage a lot, because pre t10, dots are in the "who cares" category for most people. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: balidet on December 04, 2015, 11:37:53 am I have a similar button but its what I hit after I make a big pull...
I get skin/manaflare(i dont know...i just cast it ok)/tower/rune/ ect ect all cast on me once I have control of aggro and my clicky is down. seems to work well and it usually buys me time to get that first group down to a manageable size Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Leis on December 04, 2015, 11:50:11 am The druid epic should currently be a targetted pbaoe, but its has a short range and is set to 4 targets max. I have mine set to cast on my warrior as part of my assist macro.
Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: dozey on December 05, 2015, 01:33:14 pm Thoughts as pretty permanent noob(currently doing t3/4 for my second group now, getting close to my 3rd UC1, making my way through content at about the speed its released), just to have that perspective on the class ideas:
There are some cure problems you run into especially going into pod that could become a much larger problem for new players. Most noticably are the poisons in POD. Those can get pretty spammy at times and wipe even relatively well cazic geared teams until you know what's going on. While it's easily solved by using a paladin currently, and most groups have one by then, without cure spam that will get a lot uglier. If cleric becomes the only class that can reasonably handle AOE cures without instant group cure, I can see it being a huge turn off for newer players that suddenly have to be single target curing the whole fight. That being said, it's not a deal breaker and a part of the server is learning to handle limitations when they're thrown in your face. Mostly what I'm suggesting is that may be worth evaluating how often trash spams those effects when players lose the spam counter to it. I know that until I got the resist to ignore it, it was a serious pita to be constantly curing around my second party that didn't have the paladin or rezzing like half the dps as they died every other fight to it. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Stikkan on December 05, 2015, 08:47:35 pm I'd like to see more bonuses to frenzy, flying kick, kick, throw, bard instruments, and stuff. Lot of abilities to help our slaying that don't really scale with content the way it is. Rogues have weapons with bonus backstab damage. Could we not add bonus damage stats like that to weapons for more classes? If so, then UW could provide a large boost for frenzy and flying kick so that dpsers can see those abilities actually making an effect. Is there a way to boost cyclone blade damage as well? That effect constantly goes off for insignificant damage while sometimes significant lag.
A lot of items have attack bonuses while attack doesn't seem to move much past 2000 and if it does its because of heroic stats. At the moment, I am 2760 with UW11 and earring25, items with much bonus attack that doesn't affect anything. Attack as I knew it in regular EQ helped you deal more of your damage potential in each swing as it scales vs ac or something like that. So it was amazingly important to help dpsers attack and not hit for 1/10th their max damage over and over again. I see this happen often and if attack is changed then we'd see more consistent numbers that scale with increasing ac. Additionally, there are many items with attack speed bonuses or buffs, or both, like the berserker overhate item from airplane. Reworking these so that we actually get useful bonuses instead of tons of attack speed that doesn't make us any faster sounds like it could provide a nice boost and rework to help with things. Also if buffs like this, ranger super secrets, and such had similar durations... that would be super sexy. Some ideas about UW. First, I wanted to mention that the proc damage on UW hasn't been scaled to match new proc damage on strike augs below UW9. And mainly, I find that UW is lackluster for casters (although pets with it is cool) in regards to boosting their nukes. Since casters aren't autoattacking for nearly as much dmg as a melee class with same UW, additonal bonuses like doublecast or triplecast would make casters more appealing. Another idea is to boost magic damage significantly on 1 UW weapon that all casters can use, or more than 1 weapon choice. Otherwise, could have additonal effects like % evocation/alteration etc for casters. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kruciel on December 05, 2015, 10:00:38 pm ALL TANK CLASSES:
I think this would be an opportune time to take stonewall + halloween pets out of the equation entirely. There is no reason to balance content around people needing a once-a-year drop going forward, especially with the chance to remove this clunky necessity while reworking stonewalls. Some idea of a model I could see for this would be: Stone Monster - 0% stonewall + 50k HP Insane Goblin - 0% stonewall + 150k HP (edit: nevermind, warriors will just use mistress of flame over these. maybe they could proc runes or something) Arcing Demon - remove (Max HP +5%) or everyone and their mother will just swap to using this Epic 3.5 -- 4% stonewall Epic 4.0 --- 6% stonewall Epic 4.5 --- 8% stonewall Epic 5.0 --- 10% stonewall Epic 5.5 --- 12% stonewall Epic 6.0 --- 14% stonewall Epic 7.0 --- 16% stonewall and HP + 25,000 Epic 8.0 --- 18% stonewall and HP +50,000 Epic 9.0 --- 20% stonewall and HP + 75,000 Epic 10.0 --- 22% stonewall and HP + 100,000 Shield 1-5 --- 1% stonewall Shield 6-10 --- 2% stonewall Shield 11-15 --- 3% stonewall Shield 16-20 --- 4% stonewall Shield 21-25 --- 5% stonewall Shield 26-30 --- 6% stonewall Shield 31-35 --- 7% stonewall Shield 36-40 --- 8% stonewall Shield 41-45 --- 9% stonewall Shield 46-50 --- 10% stonewall Shield 51-55 --- 11% stonewall Shield 56-60 --- 12% stonewall Max Stonewall currently would be 34%, which leaves room for more in the future. Also, Vie line could be left untouched. It would let the cleric temporarily give you 44% stonewall, which is great sure, but the reason it is over the top amazing right now, is because warriors are taking 22% of normal mob swings. When a cleric puts Vie3 on us, we take 12% of normal mob swings. So right now, Vie3 is a 50% damage reduction for us. In the new model listed above, you would go from taking 66% of the mob's damage down to 56%. Old model (78% stonewall) --- mob swings at warrior for 10,000,000 damage, he takes 2,200,000 damage. With Vie3, he takes 1,200,000 damage. New model (34% stonewall) --- mob swings at warrior for 3,300,000 damage, he takes 2,178,000 damage. With Vie3, he takes 1,848,000 damage. So yeah, the reason Vie3 is absolutely nuts right now, is going from 78% to 88% stonewall is muchhhh different than 34% to 44% 8) P.S. I still think Clerics could use a custom DI spell ;D maybe it could be their epic instead of the raid-wide heal thingy. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Leis on December 05, 2015, 10:18:55 pm With that change clerics would be the new pallys, everyone would have one. The mobs would be tuned to work with Vie3 at 44%. If we go to something like that we should set the stone monster to 8% and the insane goblin to 10% but hard cap it at 44% so people have a choice on what to use.
Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kruciel on December 05, 2015, 10:26:44 pm Umm no? Vie3 would be nothing compared to what it is now. You cannot have it up full time. At the moment, I use it at the begnning of the pull while the most damage is headed at my warrior. After it fades, it basically remains on cooldown until the pull is over. Right now, it is allowing me to do absolutely insane pulls in t10. Going from 34% to 44% temporarily with the new model would barely be noticeable.
I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion of "they'll be the new pallies" when the current model right now has them as THE most important healer on your team and the "changed model" would kick them down. Check the #s again: 78% to 88% stonewall (almost 50% less damage taken) this is live RIGHT NOW 34% to 44% stonewall (almost 15% less damage taken) this would be the new Vie is a temporary buff with a long cooldown. If necessary, just make the cooldown longer so it's one useage per pull. You could also make it apply a debuff upon fading to block this from being cast on you again for 5 minutes (in case you say oh i'll just level 6 clerics) Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kruciel on December 05, 2015, 10:52:44 pm There are pulls in t10 that deal so much damage, they aren't even remotely possible without a cleric, so pally has already been replaced in terms of the top spot. To be honest this is what my tank healing breakdown looks like in t10:
Pull mobs with drake > vie3 absorbs about 50,000,000 damage in the 18 seconds it is active > pally baby heals the rest if 10+ mobs alive still, then riposte sunglasses if 10+ mobs alive still, then redo drake if 10+ mobs alive still, start spamming patch heals with DRU SHM CLR, if more than one of the hard hitter type mobs are still alive at this point you are dead. Pally heals rampages, that is all he does. He has nothing to do with your warrior surviving the onslaught thrown at him here. Even if you brought 3 pallies, it wouldn't be enough to heal you through the big pulls. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Leis on December 05, 2015, 11:16:27 pm Thats a problem with the tier, not my point. You say it should be balanced around not having it, but we can already see from T10 thats not how its done here. New content is based on the best you can have prior to it. You shouldn't need one specific class, nor should you need a raid force to progress.
We need more options for who we use, not a cookie cutter setup. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kruciel on December 05, 2015, 11:37:50 pm You seemed to miss the point entirely though, which is the new model would be a significant nerf to how strong cleric is. It almost seemed like you thought it was a buff to clerics by saying "With that change clerics would be the new pallys" when they already are the new pallys.
Every healer will have their own niche in every mmo ever made. If they were all uniform there'd be no point in having classes. Clerics are required now, new system they wouldn't be. Cleric: aoe heals are complete crap, vie line provides a temporary mitigation buff, has the strongest single target tank heal Druid: aoe heals non-existant, drake line provides reactive healing, medium single target heal Shaman: aoe heals non-existant, has plenty of buffs + epic click + epic proc + aoe nuke, medium single target heal Pally: aoe heal king, incredibly durable, no single target heals. So, as you can see, they all have their uses. No matter what system, past or present, classes are going to have different strengths and weaknesses, but you're right: making 1 required is bad. Bottom line is, the stonewall reduction would bring clerics to that level of being "unique" and not "required" as they are now. Edit: Cleric and Druid would still be the preferred tank healers regardless, they have always been. Druid was king for years and years and finally saw a much needed nerf. With warrior stonewalls climbing higher and higher over the years, now cleric has filled the shoes of the old druid, increasing stonewalls to absurd high amounts. Even if Vie gets reduced in strength, they are still worth a small army of paladins in terms of how fast they can spam their single target heal into the warrior. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Leis on December 05, 2015, 11:58:55 pm I understand your point about it reducing the effective reduction amount. Yes everyone has some advantages and disadvantages. We both know there are people who will run multiple clerics in that setup for the CD's.
We nerfed the hell out of drake because it made druids the uncontested best healer, but you could use pallys or clerics before the nerf. From what your saying right now you need a cleric, everything else is filler. I still see those who can making a cleric or 4 to keep the buff up constantly for that 44%, and the mobs being set at a difficulty that requires that. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kruciel on December 06, 2015, 12:04:47 am For some reason, typing that just made me notice something else.
Pally has a self 25% stonewall --- Kaldar's Helping Hand II Cleric has a self 25% stonewall + self DI --- Holy Blessing of Intervention Druid has a self 15% stonewall --- Form of the Werewolf II But the one of the two healers who wants to be in melee range attacking and casting has nothing :P soooo let's get some: Shaman 15% stonewall --- Form of the Black Wolf (t5) Shaman 25% stonewall --- Form of the White Wolf (t8) Screw bears, they're too big. And obviously all of the stonewalls on these would come down as well to match the damage output of the new system. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kruciel on December 06, 2015, 12:14:57 am I still see those who can making a cleric or 4 to keep the buff up constantly for that 44%, and the mobs being set at a difficulty that requires that. If people wanted to make 6 druids and spam drake, they could do that too. Hunter knew this which is why he couldn't come up with any reasonable way of fixing the problem. I actually suggested a few things to him in emails long ago and he replied with "yeah, then people will just make 2 druids, or 3 druids". I think the way Hate ended up nerfing it fits perfectly. If you wanted to make 3 druids and 3 clerics you've always had the option. This change has absolutely nothing to do with that subject and is a very silly tangent to focus on vs the big picture of stonewalls. As for the "mobs being set at a difficulty that requires that" part. The reason we're in the state we're in now is this: Clerics and Druids are so god damn broken when combined with a 78% stonewall the only thing Hate could do to provide challenging content and stop warriors from training half the zone around was to make mobs hit so insanely hard you had to stop, pull as few as you could, and rotate as many mitigation tools on your tank while selectively focusing down the deadliest mobs after learning which mobs those are. The "t10 experience" has been incredibly fun, but at the end of the day I know it's broken because I watch team after team after team wipe and die all over the zone while I'm on cruise control at this point. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Leis on December 06, 2015, 12:26:37 am Mini bears? I think druids already have a white/black wolf set from the new aa's. /shrug
I brought up druids to point out that even broken they were not the only option. I agree that the stonewall issue was part of the reason we are in this mess but its also because Hate is trying to give people who had nothing to do for far to long a challenge. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Fuzzypoodle on December 06, 2015, 06:11:57 pm Well I guess I will toss out 2 cents...
What would be really nice is a way to farm all the ess, sls, eon, gsoa, stone, leaf, berries. Then the exp for EoA and RoA with your team. What would be cool is an expedition sytem that would allow t10 flagged toons to do for tier ess. ie. Legends of Qvic and so forth. The expedition could be kill x for berries but farmed over and over for ess and the other items needed. This would allow us to farm everything we need but have the raid there for exp. I have not had my raid in much this year since I was farming 5 uws and when I think about the rest of my raid .. I sorta feel like screw it live qvic - t5 til I have 12 more toons done ... then I can run my raid and gather more across my toons than just one guy always. Just hate how much time is spent to solo low lvl content versus having a way to farm those tiers with your raid and get items like ess, sls's eon's, gsoa, and so on. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: WatchYouDie on December 07, 2015, 07:43:24 am I think should just do a 50% reduction of stonewall across the board on all spells set cap at like 38% ... this way we would end up with about the same setup for spells etc have room for growth and will me minimum effect on play.

I like this idea, of reducing stonewall at a constant percentage (if it is to be reduced) - so that there wouldn't be a dramatic shift in classes. However, a top-tier Warrior (http://ezserverwiki.com/Warrior) currently has a non-buffed stonewall of 78% (Epic 7.0+, SoA 51+, IG Pet). Admittedly, this is quite a bit. Changing that down to 39% (half of 78) would not double the damage a Warrior would take, it would nearly triple it (270% of the current damage taken, or a 170% increase) When a warrior gets hit for x with x% stonewall: orig dmg - SW% - newdmg 1000dmg - 0% - 1000dmg 1000dmg - 78% - 220dmg 1000dmg - 39% - 610dmg Almost the same as cutting a Warrior's health by 64%. Just throwin' that out there. Unless there is an alternate method of... something... to compensate for this - this would be a real big change to our tanks - both for T10, and for those that are struggling through the lower tiers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the same way that adding a small amount of Stonewall to our Warriors sounds small, but it's actually HUGE. @ 78% stonewall, adding just 10% doesn't give 10% reduction, it actually gives 45% reduction, relative to the 78% stonewall. 78% stonewall means a warrior only takes 22% of the original damage 88% stonewall means a warrior only takes 12% of the original damage 1000 original damage - 78% stonewall - 220 damage 1000 original damage - 88% stonewall - 120 damage ^ a 45% decrease All that to say, weird things happen when you have stonewall near the ceiling, like we currently do with our warriors. When it first went in I just brought my t9 raid as is and killed the first 250 mobs on my orc kill list... I probably died 500 times in doing this.. So I looked back at my benched toons and activated a cleric that was t5 it took me a couple of weeks to get him into t10 (t8 was being a pita on cleric gear) So i think I have a handle on it my raid now looks like this 1. war 2. shammy 3. rogue 4. pally 5. cleric 6. zerk 7. zerk 8. cleric<----this was a mage 9. chanter 10. druid 11. monk 12. wizzy So I roll into t10 and well....um.. its better.. my second dps group is not getting pawned so much...but... still having problems with pulls over 7 mobs in orc camp. sooo... I swap the cleric in #8 with the zerk in #6 and I adjust some of my buff/pull keys... I also kill the chanter pet because desync on the chanter and I end up targeting his pet and watching my toons chase it around and around trying to /stick to it.. so now no pets..pally, druid, 2 clerics healing the crap out of my groups.... I can handle big pulls! like the center huts at the orc camp with the jug and his buddies...... of course now my dps group is getting owned again...../sigh I think I will remake the keys and leave the second cleric in the second group and just make him a single target healer on the tank...then he can aoe heal some of the time.... all in all its fun..... looking forward to getting past the 500 kills part and onto some gear maybe Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Expletus on December 07, 2015, 11:11:06 am Wrong thread Balidet !
Wizards: Options are limited to Fire or Cold. Cold cast time is higher with less mana. Fire cast time is lower with more mana more dmg. Ive been clicking the hell out of my mana neck which goes back to the "Less attention" that melee are on the server. It's a PITA to keep going back after 2 mobs and clicking him back to full mana. Suggestions: - Fire mana cost needs to be dropped by 50% - add a small fire DoT that next cast allows 50% more dmg with fire dmg - - Cold DMG - Do the same thing as fire - 5% less dmg - less chance to resist spell - Add 1 VERY HIGH - Very Aggro-able - DD spell - like 15 million DD. So when you cast it, you have a 50/50 chance of pulling aggro. Add a different AOE - magic based - 5 waves of dmg 500k per wave with a 1% chance to proc a 10 million, 2 sec DoT on that target (5 mil per tick). Mana cost should be around 200K with a 10 second recast. No limit of mobs it can hit. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Stikkan on December 07, 2015, 04:49:36 pm Ever since I saw Earring of Brutal Ages Rk. 50, I thought... pass. Then, I got UW and realized the benefit now that I actually dealt decent physical damage for my tier. So been investing in it, rk25 earring during this post, and just keep coming back to the same conclusion that its a bit lackluster except for the huge factor of 200% bonus to physical damage.
I'd like to see more resists on it than I could get with any other earring an a decent aug. Too high resist wouldn't make sense, while resists on brutal earring being at least equivalent to rk10 resist aug in a t9 earring definitely does make sense, so at least HR 200 with such a costly item. The other stat issue on it I keep noticing is that the attack boost is huge, 1000 rk50. 1000 points towards a stat that doesn't increase past cap without heroic stats, at least on my screen. Raising attack cap makes this useful, otherwise some heroic stats in place of this maybe. Since its already hella expensive, can we just scale its current max rank to t10? Assuming there is going to be an overall stat boost (mainly hp/ac) to it for new content. Otherwise, I feel like it can definitely use the boost in some way. Any boost in the stats for this item also encourages players to build it early instead of waiting for complete/nearly complete rings. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Stikkan on December 07, 2015, 06:33:10 pm Some more ideas on UW. I heard from Kruciel that anyone using all/all UWs won't crit if you equip weapon types that aren't normally supported by your class. Something to do with a coding change by eqemu. For example, monk using 2hs uw won't crit because monks are not coded for slashing. Unfortunately for monks, using h2h uw still doesn't match non crit 2h uw damage.
So some ideas for this are a 2hb uw (like current staff) that had matching phys dmg and spell proc dmg to 2hs. Or huge boost to h2h uw to compensate for having low phys dmg weapon in offhand. Personally, unless the phys dmg went up to near 2h level I'd still prefer using 2h uw. Also to further improve casters and bst (maybe), a UW that specifically benefitted pet classes or modifiers to pets like pet focus added to uws. If uw for pet class, can add to proc that gives pets bonus aoe dmg, proc dmg, etc. I know 3 pet classes can already equip uw on pets with summoner's bag, a proc however adds more, making up for gimpiness of some pets. If also using pet user uw, perhaps making it so putting item gotten from shuffling uws at master essence dude can be turned into 2 uws for dual wield pets once placed in magic box (could also make different versions that you pick by putting in box with item bought for crafter's merchant at no cost). Then, just recombine both weapons in box to get item for uw shuffling to change weapon. With different benefits on each weapon, so that primary can still apply to character while primary and offhand can be given to pet. Tons of options to adjust pet classes like this. Hit boss all bosses come. Loot. Next instance. Repeat. Wheres the fun in that? That's sort of true, but CT is pretty much universally hated. Tacvi was challenging when you were appropriately geared for the zone, but nicely easier when you were well past it but had to back farm. I would love to see the original planes turned into a special zone. Fear could be caster gear. Hate could be melee gear. Air could be accessories. I'd love to see either the original planes or PoP zones used more, those are some of my favorites, but I understand they aren't as fancy/large/in depth/whatever as some of the zones from newer expansions. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Darpey on December 09, 2015, 08:25:44 am CT could have been cooler if it had been adapted - instead of having ALL mobs drop the pieces resulting in a kill-whatever-you-see-as-quickly-as-possible. If it had required the spawn mechanics native to that zone to spawn bosses... or the gorilla boss of the THRONE ROOM drops legs, the AVATAR OF FEAR drops chest, the EYE thing on top of the pyramid drops arms, random mobs drop accessories, etc...
But yeah I like old zones :) I also liked Tacvi, but it really only works when it's top tier. Once you're WAY overgeared for it, it's just silly to have a boss-only zone. When it was tough though it was sweet. PoTime was also super fun when the bosses are hard. FG, CG, and EoN use old zones though, and it's pretty cool - except when you're doing it for the 15th time. But even then, you just gotta sigh and say "hey, I'm camping Froglok Executioner, it could be worse" Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kemaal on December 09, 2015, 08:27:21 am I'd love to see either the original planes or PoP zones used more, those are some of my favorites, but I understand they aren't as fancy/large/in depth/whatever as some of the zones from newer expansions. Darpey - Yes, Stonewall change would require mob damage reduction or EZ becomes unplayable. This is expected and will be handled. WatchYouDie - There is not an easy way to just ..."cap" Stonewall. Each individual mitigation check would likely require a check for a rule value. Given that we're so far off of "live", I doubt the EQEMU ladies/gents/ragers would appreciate more extreme custom code. (Not that I care...but I can understand the sentiment of not wanting to unnecessarily bloat the code for unnecessary checks) Expletus - If you are using the absolute highest rank of Yamakagi's...that's likely why. The mana cost is explosively expensive so you can use the highest damage at the highest cost or a lower damage amount for a more 'affordable' cost. Stikkan - Earring of the ___ Ages is a DPS item, plain and simple. UWs need some love and review. I'm still really wanting to class-lock the UWs to prevent the issue of zero crits on items that cannot be natively used (i.e. 2hs monk). Kruciel - Bear form too big? Noted. I'll see what can be done to remedy this. ;) Brixu - I probably need to bring up the epics as a whole in their own, full thread. Some of them feel "lacking" still. Some of them feel ..."ridiculous" (looking at you pally healing aug). -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: hateborne on December 09, 2015, 03:44:21 pm Also, added new "project" (adding more range items to all tiers).

Velious to date was the best expac live EQ has seen. Not opinion, fact. Those raids and exp zones took you to school more than anything before or since. After Velious I liked Omens, especially Anguish. Fantastic raid zone, and the flagging trials to gain access to Anguish were fun! More Velious, if we have to use old zones! Skyshrine has so much potential, and you could do a lot with Dragon Necropolis, Sirens Grotto....and especially with Sleepers. But this is semi off topic.....dont think T11 is something we need to discuss for a while at least :D As for large zones....love em. There's a lot that can be done with em. I like Sunderock, TBH....and except for the stupid spiral shape I like T7. Somewhere on these forums, when I changed up SK/PAL/WAR stonewall values, they are only 10% behind (iirc). A lot of people tend to reach for the easiest option. As stated twice now, stonewall goes down and mob damage goes down. They go hand in hand. :-) -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: hateborne on December 10, 2015, 09:12:57 am But this is semi off topic.....dont think T11 is something we need to discuss for a while at least :D We do. T9->T10 took far too long. Even though a lot of it was me testing the limits of what I could safely do within the EQEMU "framework", building and destroying a lot....it was too long and will not happen again. -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: clbreastmilk on December 10, 2015, 12:24:14 pm Thank you for the recent updates Hateborne. If you get some time I was wondering if you could share your ideas behind keeping T10 from being instanced. This isn't meant as a flame question. I am more curious as to the thought process behind it. Is the zone structured in a way to accommodate 15+ various boxes/raids? Is it a resource issue? Is it about bringing the server out of their little fox hole instances? Something to do with the design?
Again, not meant as a flame. Just curious. And as always, thank you for the time you put into this unpaid time consuming hobby. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Expletus on December 10, 2015, 02:07:27 pm I like the way you posed that question.

It was not taken as a flame question. You asked politely, clearly, and suggested why you think I might have made this decision without claiming to "know" why it was done. Firstly, the zone is big and incredibly resource hungry. It's not to say that we couldn't allow a few instances of it, but it is built in a way that instancing (especially instances started and left empty) would continue spitting out mobs per scripts, but never killed (since the zone is in 'limbo'). This results in players re-entering instances to find 1k+ mobs. 700-800 mobs is where Sunderock floats currently and it's taxing for some players. 1k+ would be devastating for all but people playing < 3 clients. Second, the loot and trigger system is aimed at fairly large numbers. Even a small group CAN succeed, but a large group or multiple small groups will EXCEL. I've nearly got the rest of the triggers converted to scaling values, so it will "ebb and flow" with the number of players in the zone. The sheer size of the zone makes it less than ideal, if not downright impossible for a small 6p group to progress reasonably. This sounds completely outside of the EZ mindset, but the EZ mindset of "instances only" actually is relatively new in the lifespan of EZ. It's a comfortable and easy mindset, but it's relatively new to EZ's 'style' (if you will). Third and finally, Hunter and I discussed this zone as a large and no-instance zone after T8 was 'conquered'. We wanted a large zone with interconnected races and fights. A lot of the "danger" was removed before release as the camp invasions, camp "bombings", zone wide events, and other such things did end up causing massive issues and "broke" the zone. Not to mention the undead in T9 were so ...'well' received. So far, minus the failings of my ability to script, Kruciel and a few others seem to be enjoying the difficulty and odd cooperative nature of the zone. It's still going with me trying to patch up what I can (with nearly 10d of me being gone to real-life drama) to get T10 as close to perfect as possible. Hopefully that shed some light on the decision. It wasn't just "lol no instances scrubs", but a considered and pondered decision that Hunter and I made. This isn't to say all future zones will be this way, nor will there be any guarantee that another like this will occur. It was more of honoring an agreement with a great friend and trying something new for EZ (as every 5 tiers are the ballbreakers). -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Drep on December 11, 2015, 12:04:53 pm Kruciel and a few others seem to be enjoying the difficulty -Hate now we seem to have people just randomly Mass AFKing in the zone waiting for things to spawn.... I mean no disrespect at all Hate. It had to been crazy coding all of this and i give you mad props! It just seems very weird that you would have wanted a zone like this on this server knowing the player base. I guess I'm glad there are a couple people on the whole entire server that seem to enjoy it though. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Adydar on December 11, 2015, 12:09:17 pm Hate, thanks for the response. I have a few follow up questions.
1 - What is the planned migration for the zone once it becomes old hat? If a group of 6 can't handle it, the zone will not support new players once the majority of folks are beyond T10 as there won't be people in the zone to speed up said triggers. 2 - While my crew certainly has a lot it could do as far as UW, SOA, etc, we were looking forward to T10 and a new challenge, however, that was about the zone being challenging for our group of people. Not a challenge for a bunch of people on the server who may or may not be working together. Is there a feasible way for what we deem ourselves as casual to enjoy the zone? It sure doesn't seem so from reading Kruciel's posts. 3 - What is the server vision moving forward? While this server may not have originally been about instancing, it most certainly is that today. This started while Hunter was still with us so he was aware as well. If the vision is super crazy zones that can be handled by a group or 2 in instances, that's fantastic. If it is super crazy zones that require a bunch of people running groups doing all kinds of stuff, that seems counter-intuitive to what EZ has been about since I started playing. If that is the new direction, I'm cool with it, as we all know, you guys run the show here. However, it's not something I'm particularly interested in so I can save myself some time if that's where we are going. For some perspective, every single zone on the server can be done as one group, now this one we have a statement that it effectively can not. That is a huge change in direction after getting through 9 tiers and a bunch of zones never named as tiers. Plus, all of them can be instanced. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: spuddson on December 11, 2015, 04:08:21 pm As a 6 box tier 10er I can see it as an incredible challenge to anyone not running 2 or more groups. My kph is low so several of the boss's will be out of my reach for a while. I've been lucky to be able to tag along with kru and some others. It's slow but as upgrades come spell accessories and armor the zone seems less painful. Essences are what I've been unable to find but I'm sure its just RNG lol.
1000 plageborn seems ungodly for me so as a fan of T10 I would be an even bigger fan of a T10 mini that would garentee at least one plageborn hint hint Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: balidet on December 11, 2015, 04:20:35 pm With 1k orc kills give or take I have seen the following;

Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Moruk on December 12, 2015, 08:02:04 am It would be fantastic if the Ultimate Weapon quest line scaled correctly. As it stands now, you arent powerful enough to start the quest until T5/T6-ish. And when you do finally start the UW quest line, the rewards are not worth using until you level the UW to 5 or 6ish. No one actually uses the lower levels of the UW's, they just bank them until they get worked higher and are worth using. Seems like such a waste.
It would be great if you could actually earn your UW as you progress through the tiers: - Progress characters to Qvic - UW1 quest is obtainable at this tier, and the reward is useful (ie better than epic at this tier) - Progress characters to CT - UW2 quest is obtainable at this tier, and the reward is useful (ie better than epic at this tier) - etc The only way I can see this working is replace the EoN for the first 5 tiers of the UW with something obtainable at that level. And moving the EoFS to the appropriate zone (ie: EoFS1 should be moved to Qvic with same spawn/drop chance). This would make progression more linear on the server, instead of working your characters to tier 5/6 then stopping and going back to backfill the missing UW. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: hateborne on December 12, 2015, 09:06:26 am Hate, thanks for the response. If a group of 6 can't handle it, the zone will not support new players once the majority of folks are beyond T10 as there won't be people in the zone to speed up said triggers. There is no planned migration. Currently, T10 is the end game until T11, T12, etc. Just like the rest of the server, as new things are released, older bits become slightly less horrifying to grind out. Look at T1-T5. Before, it was not uncommon to see players in T5 without UCs across the board. Now, it seems very much like EVERYONE has UCs before completing T4. The damage output, even for lowly augs, is significantly higher with multiple characters toting UCs than it was a few years back. I'm still trying to hammer through most of it. It is a complex zone that I've very clearly botched at release (or stumbled out of the gates, whichever). Some of it is still not working quite right, some of it does not have scaling triggers yet, and some of the triggers are hilariously simple (but too complex with only 2-4 people there to figure it out). It is meant to be DOABLE by a single player, but ENCOURAGING more than one. 3 - What is the server vision moving forward? While this server may not have originally been about instancing, it most certainly is that today. This started while Hunter was still with us so he was aware as well. I will not be heavily increasing the lower end as I don't want new players stuck and believing they need an UW that early in the game to even progress. -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: clbreastmilk on December 12, 2015, 10:13:30 am It is meant to be DOABLE by a single player, but ENCOURAGING more than one. -Hate Very happy to read this, thank you hate. <3 Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: kojak488 on December 12, 2015, 02:47:45 pm And when you do finally start the UW quest line, the rewards are not worth using until you level the UW to 5 or 6ish. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Stikkan on December 13, 2015, 04:01:42 am Be nice to have access to halloween vendor year around while points only available during event. I didn't get IG to drop for all my characters and I have enough credits for them. Being as t10 deaths are huge, I'd definitely like to be able to replace CTs on my alts before the next halloween event. I do not believe myself to be the only player that could benefit from this as well. Familiars are available through EZ creds, don't see any problem with this since players already farmed halloween points.
Other thing I was wondering about is SoA. The current SoA pricing was for a slightly different shield iirc. I didn't have SoA then, but I remember almost a year ago seeing a version with some other bonuses on it, something affecting pets too. Since this is no longer on SoA, was the price ever adjusted for the change? Been considering SoAs for t10, plat cost and all around cost though is huge. Also, any chance on adding heroic stats to SoA? Heroic stats are on higher tier items, I am thinking heroic stats at least on SoA levels. If price on SoA remains the same, I'd definitely like to see high heroic stats on it in comparison to tier gear to make it even more appealling for dps to grind this item out. Late tier heroic stats won't make much difference for warriors that normally get the SoA anyways as soon as they can afford it after some damage. Btw, in case anyone is curious. I did that calculations, feel free to check. I sure didn't double check. I rounded my own values on ores, and got plat cost to be around 64M, sls cost at 250k each is 17.5M, EoNs at 2.5M each for 27.5M, and essences using common prices is 46M. Total of 155M in plat. I wouldn't buy the entire SoA obviously, put it in plat for myself. To my dps I wouldn't benefit enough to make any difference from 155M invested on them except for t10. I know SoA isn't necessary, it is also unlikely for many players beyond their tank with this cost. The warriors who would tell you they know I cant run with the rest of them have never played side by side with me (Or Watch, as a better example) as a tank. Those who have will rarely say there is something I can't do, because they see each class has it's strengths and weaknesses. I progressed through just about every tier except T7 by myself, and T7 was more of a buy fest for me to catch up with a friend who had played while I did not.
As much as I'd love to be super OP, Shadowknights don't need squat. We're plenty viable as is. I'd take an IGP if Hate's handing them out, though, since ive missed Halloween 3 years running now. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: hateborne on December 21, 2015, 10:15:17 am Honestly, I'm not digging that fact that halloween pets are "critical" pieces of tank progression. Hated it from get-go and still do. I would be fine with them giving 1-5% or something like that, which WOULD show but is nowhere near 'required'.
Either way, not going to gimp them or remove their appeal. Before this list gets worked on, pets are very attractive. After list, I intend to keep them attractive to utilize. -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kruciel on December 21, 2015, 12:03:01 pm I kind of like the idea of it just adding some type of proc to your attacks. That way, it will never feel 'required' but still provides a slight benefit. No matter how you slice it, putting even 1% stonewall on SM or IG is landing it in that category. If stonewall reduction goes forward, sure it'll be much less powerful.
If the proc was a rune, it'd either be too strong for new players and do nothing at all for people in the final tier. If it was a self-heal, perhaps it could be balanced a bit to scale off charms and be a small benefit to everyone. Even if it has to be a small heal that wouldn't matter to the people in t10. As long as it can help newer players without being too strong, and have the necessity of them slowly wane off as they progress up and up, that'd be pretty cool. Or perhaps instead of giving them a proc or stonewall, they could simply give (Max HP Change), say 3% on SM and 5% on IG, and Arcing Demon could be redesigned (because nobody uses that thing on any character anyways) Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: aythena on December 27, 2015, 05:33:26 am It would be fantastic if the Ultimate Weapon quest line scaled correctly. UW isn't a necessity to progress from qvic to t9 in any way shape or form, it's meant to be an end game weapon that you farm later, if you choose to farm it earlier that entirely your choice, but the time money and investment pre t6 into a uw is often a huge waste of time and limited plat resources, the higher tier you are, the easier it is to farm UW, not to mention the fact the people that did decide to go uw earlier the uw itself is quite well over its respective tier in power and damage and stats. First off class change suggestions: Shaman: Heal over time spells. Stoicism line, duration 15 secounds (base) rank1=10000-12000 tier 3-4 (hoh) rank2=20000-30000 tier 6 rank3=40000=60000 tier 8 Recourse effect from Stoicism line Rank1: Reduces damage given by 15% snares target by 75% Rank2:Reduces damage given by 10% snares target by 65% Rank3:Reduces damage given by 5% snares target by 55% War: Angry Nerd 7 Required level to proc 78 two angry6 augments combined into magic box. Ranger: Epic modify: Add Bow bonus damage Epic 3.0 bow damage +5% damage bonus +xxxx damage to actual bow value. Epic 4.0 bow damage +10% damage bonus * Epic 5.0 bow damage +15% damage bonus * Epic 6.0 bow damage +25% damage bonus* Epic 7.0 bow damage +35% damage bonus* Epic 8.0 bow damage +45% damage bonus * Epic 9.0 bow damage +55% damage bonus * Add bow only strike augment with a higher value then ninjastrike using mana neck cost value. Reasons for this suggestion. Enable a unique range damage class, reason for the epic bow damage boost, due to bows slowy delay having a fair value of bow damage would have to be exceptionally higher then a normal 1hs or 2hs damage value to compensate, would this make ranger OP, not at all it would just lead into people considering UW bows and so on. Example of the idea was that rangers could normal hit with bow for around 1-2million damage per hit by 9.0 with tier 9 bow. Of course this is with a uc2 type value damage, and of course UW bow would make it even higher. Bard: Over raided ballad of flame: Adding a fair value to this spell to be on par with aoe spells of its current tier would enable bards the abillity to properly AE range spells, currently over raided ballad is 170 damage... Adding More ranks throughout the tiers with fair value of what a flame strike aug would be, would enable bards to be viable aoe damage dealers without making them execessively op, perhaps setting a delay timer per round it fires to higher delay but boosting the value would balance this. Cleric: Heal over time: short duration high heal value heal over times would be a nice addition suggestions, such as a base time of 3-5secounds or 3 or 5 ticks. Zone Suggestion: Just a fair idea I had for a zone change down the road. If this is possible of course. Add chance to spawn fabled Tower of frozenshadow bosses, from floor 5-7. Fabled Enraged Relative: tier 8 equavilent unique loot table Fabled Vah: Tier 9 Abrahm stoic with a bonus 2hs skill modifier. Fabled Tserinna: Tier 10 equavilent tserrina loot table gear. Reasons for this idea. Take wonderful special effect gear that many still use and enable those to farm a better version of it, but of course make sure the fabled bosses are decently difficult to tier they would drop gear for. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: aythena on December 27, 2015, 06:18:39 am ALL TANK CLASSES:
12-2-15 Post by: Brannyn on December 27, 2015, 07:31:35 am Ranger: Epic modify: Add Bow bonus damage Epic 3.0 bow damage +5% damage bonus +xxxx damage to actual bow value. The bow suggestion brings something to mind that could allow the UW bow to be altered to give better damage without rolling over (This can be applied to other weapons as well when it becomes an issue). Have the bows scale up to a certain point in damage and then instead of adding more damage it gains a spell effect that causes a trickshot, essentially firing another arrow. Each rank of UW after that point would just add more trickshots fired. On the subject of the zone suggestions I want to point out that adding fabled versions of floor bosses to tofs would probably want to be done with whatever coding was used in the Halloween event that kept certain bosses from spawning if you were too low level. This way you don't have to worry about spawning a fabled and getting your ass handed to you if you are a lower tier. I mean sounds like your going to have to rework a lot anyways so why not adjust hps and damage output as well :) Just my idea. Something like this is coming too. We've hit the HP cap on mobs and occasionally hit the damage cap with a "stars align" situation with buffs. Will likely knock off two decimal places from all damage and then from mobs as well. It will slightly affect somewhere between PoT and T1 as some area will become CRAZY easy/hard without some careful mathdps. -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: aythena on December 27, 2015, 01:13:05 pm On this subject, if were changing stonewall which I understand the idea behind it and were to the point its getting ridiculous, if your going to change the entire damage value etc of all the tiers here is my idea, why not change the how many hps mobs have, but in return change the value of damage we do with strikes weapons and uw's etc, basically if mobs had less hps, and we had less damage against them, the game would literally be the same game, yes those 9million crits are cool from my war, but honestly if my war did 900k or even 90k but mobs had their hps adjusted to that damage, it would be the same game without those excessively large numbers float around all over the place. If damage gets too high, it does nothing. (Literally deals negatives or "no effect"). If mob HP gets too high (through buffs), it rolls over, mob has -1 hp (literally dies from ANY damage). Right now, two of the bosses in T10 and the Xmas portals are nearly at the maximum value. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Chunka on December 31, 2015, 02:48:45 pm Ok....so we have a zone as an alternative to LDON for upgrading charms (ToFS, and some other zones with random drops). We have higher level areas you can actively farm sls. I think its time for a higher end zone or two that gives us an alternative for essence drops.
CT makes me wanna gouge out my eyes with a melon baller just to punish myself for zoning in....not because its hard, or complex....but because it is so soul destroyingly monotonous and BORING. Qvic is slightly better, but not much. Dragons minor may actually be worse (for similar reasons....and like CT the abundance of useless crap on the mobs sucks). I'd love to see a zone that is fun, humorous, a bit involved and complicated to get around in, and drops all (or at least most) zone essences. Something you cant mass pull easily.....maybe with teleporters....dont know. Maybe something like Skyshrine....or Relic the Artifact City.....or linked multiple SoD zones using the Void. Just an idea. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Tootoot on December 31, 2015, 02:55:56 pm I agree with Chunka on this. Would be a nice breath of fresh air to see a zone dedicated to essences farming. Maybe one with with different levels much like tofs. Or maybe a ring event in the rallos zek arena. Where the better you are at clearing waves of adds and bosses the more rewarded you are in essences.

FailAnd decent idea chunka but why don't we just add the essence drops for current teir and below to each zone. I.e t10 drops 10 and below, this way you can still progress and have fun. If you need to top off a particular essence go to the specific zone? I'd say add a drop % increase for the higher the tier and lower the essense. Either idea would make the uw easier though. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Chunka on December 31, 2015, 04:08:20 pm I'm not for making things easier.....I'm for making them more fun. A higher end zone that gets progressively more difficult and drops higher tier essences as you go would accomplish this....and would also do more to ease the "entitlement" attitude some newer players develop here by being able to loot trash drops when Kruciel_Wannabee002 rips apart T1/2 for essences. But thats secondary, and IMO not as important as breathing some FUN back into things.
Might also be a great chance to stretch your creativity and funnybone, Hate....kind of like the idea posted for T11. make things unusual....unexpected in a humorous way. You know.....no pressure :D Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: balidet on December 31, 2015, 05:52:22 pm I am down for a progressive zone that scales up and up and up....give us something to really push us..would have to be a rest period or maybe a spawn npc so you had time to rez/loot inbtween waves...but man...this could be a real challenge...have a leader board component...

Yes - and everyone does. I'm simply pointing out that they are so unbelievably rare that no one who is in that current tier will ever see one, so they really don't even need to exist. Those rare weapon skins don't mean *anything* other than entertainment, they are going to get replaced as soon as you move to the next tier. But it would be nice if their rareness was adjusted so that you could actually have a chance to loot one before you "outgrow" it. I remember hoping really hard one would drop when I entered HoH for the first time, but one never did. Since them I'm UW'd up and can round up the whole zone and smash it down solo, and I've done it a thousand times. I *still* havent seen one of those rare epic skins. I remember Kiwis blowing up in /gu because he saw one drop in the Dranik daily and he hadn't seen one before, they are that stinking rare. The rare epic weapons skins are just an example, I don't care specifically about them anymore. You guys are arguing that rare should be rare, I dont disagree. I'm arguing that it's broken in this specific instance and for the new folks in those zones we might as well remove those epic skins from the wikis so they won't even know about them. Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Ponzi on January 06, 2016, 07:07:42 pm Those rares are indeed rare. And Moruk's right, the odds of one ever falling into the laps of someone who'd actually equip it is as close to zero as humanly possible. Only real way to fix it would be to make it common, which wouldnt make it rare.
The other really rare one that the minis actually helped on.. The t7 mini had a fairly decent chance of dropping the Jeweler Candlelight. This was back when hero augs actually fit into ranged slot items... Anyways, was better than the t9 bow and worlds better than the SOT, so it was a best-in-slotter, and i remember actually getting one for my entire 8man and 3-4 of them for guildies back in the day. But once again, it was a BIS item, so it was worth the effort. Obviously i could have drug ppl thru dranik for the vamp sword, but they;d grow out of it so quickly it wasnt worth it. So maybe upping the spawn chance on those isn't a terrible idea. Or make it a questable item tier-appropriate and making it lootable via drop still a powerball-level rarity. /shrug. From my data so far (available in parses thread), beastlord is better DPS than bard, enchanter, and rogue. They are on par with monks (likely slightly less once I reparse with that stupid T3/T4 clicky). -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: balidet on February 10, 2016, 12:44:05 pm wait...wut?!?! da.... um..
Now I have to check the data! Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: Kobrakai Pwnstar on February 25, 2016, 01:26:31 pm I was looking around, and We're still missing some Teir Range Slots (for all classes).
Anguish - Only has Skittering Longbow and Skeletal Assassin's Bow (Bow Classes Only) Old Commons - Only has Freeport's Arc of Pain (Bow Classes Only) ...and most if not all (besides the candlelight) are not BER BST usable...can't classify if there's more. Essences of Dragons Minor should be slightly less rare, spells should be much more common, crafting gear is more common, and the mount has a chance to actually drop. :o -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: balidet on March 22, 2016, 11:33:10 pm wtf no all the scrubs are going to have my ubber rare mount

It sucks as much as Dranik edit - started dropping again after reboot. That's 24 out of 300. (24:300 or 12:150 or 6:75 or ~8% of the time which is very close to what the actual value is) -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: hateborne on March 29, 2016, 12:00:01 pm http://ezserver.online/forums/index.php?topic=5092.msg65814#msg65814

See this -> http://ezserver.online/forums/index.php?topic=5092.msg65814#msg65814 Specifically this section! Firstly, the Augmentation Sealer NPC will now slot or remove two (or more) augments for you. Hail him for more details. Specifically, seek him out, start the conversation, hand him your two augments to slot, and then walk through the chat dialogue to slot them into your ranged or main hand weapon. Additionally, if you have an item with MANY augments in them (i.e. weapon showing two slots but has four procs), he can remove them for you as well. 8) -Hate Title: Re: Post-T10 Grocery List! 12-2-15 Post by: hateborne on April 06, 2016, 09:32:49 pm HoH, Plane of Gods (airplane), and Anguish are now on scripted loot.
