Title: LDoN Updated Post by: Hunter on August 29, 2010, 04:36:40 am Removed Anti AFK code from LDoN.
Removed A_Gatekeeper NPC (in the Nexus) and replaced with A_Miner NPC that has new quest text. This NPC will offer to send you to any level 1-6 if you are level 70 and hold a LDoN level 6 key. This NPC will no longer buy or sell LDoN items, or accept any items turned in. Removed Charm_Collector NPCs. All charms are upgraded through the use of A Magic Box now and no need to do turn in to upgrade charms. Buy and sell of all tokens, cards, and charm upgrades are now done thru Tsukasa. Turning in 4 armor/illusion cards are still being done by this NPC as well. If you sell to this NPC (LDoN Tokens, Armor Cards, or Charm Upgrades) then all of those items that you selected will be auto sold. You don't turn in items to sell them. Only 4 of a kind to get reward is turned in. Total NPC's are A_Miner and Tsukasa in the Nexus and then A_Gatekeeper still exist in the LDoN level's 1-5 to teleport you to next dungeon level. Other Updates: I didn't get around to finishing the 3.5 quest code yet or the anti afk code yet due to the time I spent revamping and consolidating LDoN this weekend. Those two things should be finished within a week. Enjoy! I had no idea - maybe if i hailed mobs more often I wouldnt have to do things the hard way. Title: Re: LDoN Updated Post by: sohami on August 30, 2010, 01:16:42 pm I kind of thought having to go through all the levels to get to level 2,3,4,5 were in part keeping the LDON population down.
Now that they're insta-portable... any thoughts? Title: Re: LDoN Updated Post by: Thyl on August 30, 2010, 01:21:54 pm I kind of thought having to go through all the levels to get to level 2,3,4,5 were in part keeping the LDON population down. Now that they're insta-portable... any thoughts? I think it's a good thing to not force people to clear through all LDoNs. I think people working on 2.0s should be able to do it somewhat how it was intended. Not just running through empty halls because every over geared person had to run through there. Now that they're insta-portable... any thoughts? I dont think this will in anyway increase the population. If anything it will decrease the population. I doubt there were very many people who didnt go to LDON becasue they would have to fight through a few levels first. However, I think this could actually lead to a slight decrease in the population in some levels as people will spend less time in LDON all togheter as they can port to the level they want, get what they need and leave. Title: Re: LDoN Updated Post by: swamphy on August 30, 2010, 02:19:25 pm Mayo is right.
If you need a charm to progress, you go to Ldon. Having to travel through several levels only extends your stay. Thanks Hunter! Title: Re: LDoN Updated Post by: Hunter on August 31, 2010, 11:45:27 am I'm hoping to make 1 or 2 PUBLIC instances for each LDoN zone, but no promises. Need to look at the code. Private instances still out of the question for LDoN currently.
Title: Re: LDoN Updated Post by: sohami on August 31, 2010, 12:01:07 pm Public instances is a great idea. two levels per. Really not bad, would cut it in half.
Maybe one set is insta-port and the other set you have to clear through like the old system. Either way, could totally improve ldon Title: Re: LDoN Updated Post by: Smoka on August 31, 2010, 10:29:13 pm I'm hoping to make 1 or 2 PUBLIC instances for each LDoN zone, but no promises. Title: Re: LDoN Updated Post by: Otaduke on September 01, 2010, 10:05:28 am I thought there was already 2 public instances of LDoN's. At least there was about 2 nights ago. I had my 4 toons on ldon 5 farming for cards to complete CG flag and my monk died. Rezed the monk back with my War and he respawned but on ldon 5 but not the same that my group was in. Was another war at the same camp I did not see in my instance. I had him kill me and rez me back hoping to bet back to my current instance but no dice. Wound up gating him out since he was just there to help with dps.

Anyone - feel free to correct me if I am wrong. But as i understand it. . . My guess is that the zone crashed while you were in it or you logged in right as the server came up. Sometimes when these two events occur if someone logs in "too fast" you can beat the server into the zone that has not yet been connected. So the server creates a zone for you to log in - then creates the zone it would have created had you not logged in "too fast." You are grated a private instance along with anyone else who logged in "too fast." But once you zone out there is no way to get back into that instance of the zone. Edited: For accidental Double Text Title: Re: LDoN Updated Post by: sohami on September 01, 2010, 11:10:48 am Lol, just an idea. Hell if i'd pay it :P
Title: Re: LDoN Updated Post by: Smoka on September 01, 2010, 11:13:07 am I'd pay 200k+ for a private LDoN instance. =) Ok, ok, I'd pay that plus stop bugging you to fix the SK epic click resist! Need to look at the code. Private instances still out of the question for LDoN currently. How bout we make it 3? You know, for those really busy times when P99 is down and whatnot. Would be cool if you could make it add more public instances based on server population OR zone population. Hey I can dream right? Rezed him and got the rez message..accpeted the rez and back in another instance with no corpse on the ground. In my original instance the corspe was still there. Tried to rez it again and got the message it has already been rezed. |
