The part of the 'strategy' that you seem to be missing from your posts is fully utilizing the instance system. You mention waiting 15 minutes for a respawn? Even without instances, that shouldn't be the case. You have 6 characters all capable of sitting at 6 different spawns. But you also have 6 characters, all capable of creating a new instance every 2 minutes, capable of respawning each individual instance every 10 minutes, capable of deleting an instance every 10 minutes. In the span of 2 minutes you can have created 12 separate guk instances that you can now cycle in between, including repopping. If you somehow deal with all 12 of those and start hitting repopinstance/deleteinstance timers, just start working on another zone, don't sit and wait on timers. It's a pretty gross use of the instance system, but the design of FG/CG and EoN's encourage it. FG/CG definitely sucked bad before instances when you had to actually wait for respawns, but nowadays a new player can just farm a few sls, sell them, and have enough money to spam instances through FG/CG.

If you're dying at the start of Anguish, it's because the aneuk augur mobs have absolutely ridiculous burst and way too high of a resist check. I posted about it a long time ago and never got a response.

Angryface familiar 200% spell damage doesn't stack with ancient vampiric thunder for magic damage. Not a huge deal, just a little disappointing since most damage other than firestrikes or wizard nukes is magic, so any character with chanter buff is only getting +75% magic damage.

Black Unicorn:
  • 15% Spell Mitigation
  • 175% Movement Speed
  • 65% Spell Haste*
  • 225% Melee Haste
  • 100k HP

For the record, I'm not sure if the spell haste is even working at all. My wizard's Hateborne's Glacial Gift is 2.4 second cast with worn spell haste + quick damage aa, and is still 2.4 after the unicorn buff. With the 50% spell haste from Timeless: Haste, it drops to 2.0 with or without unicorn buff. Is there a 50% spell haste cap maybe?

Maybe the #bot augmentitem command that some other servers have could be useful? I don't know what issues that command has, but in practice it forces the augmentation sealer to combine even if its a duplicate aug or a aug + item combo unusable by the class you are doing the combine on.

I wrote an mq2 macro that will augment an item with 3 empty slots with 3 of the same augment. If people want it I can post it here, but its super rough and requires some setup as to how you configure your bags.

Hate switched the server from a yes/no resist check to a partial resist check.  Spells you are getting hit with are passing through partial resists, working as intended

I don't think this is being questioned at all. Hate posted a mockup resist chart for zones that showed the "recommended" resist for Anguish being 1500. This was described as the resist you should have when you're dominating the zone. The poster above is talking about being at 2300 resists in Anguish, which is an ABSURD amount over that amount. Obviously spells can still have a chance to land, but I'd imagine he's getting hit consistently by certain things like the mez. I'm at 2100 resists and I don't resist SHIT in Anguish, other than the cripple some mobs spam. By the time Keldovan reaches melee range, I am always fully dotted, don't resist any of that crap, or the wizard bosses, etc. Now, Anguish has very few actual caster trash mobs, but the Aneuk Augur npcs near the start of the zones are shamans. These mobs come in pairs, and it's easily possible for a pair of these mobs to kill my warrior in 2 seconds flat. (2100 resists, full T6.) I don't partial resist their 100k+ nukes/pbae/dots. The original resist chart seems drastically off for Anguish so far to me. At the point where I was 300 resist over the reccomended for Illsalin, I was definitely resisting every single trash spell on my warrior (except the necro Insinuation dot line.) and I believe I was pretty consistently resisting boss spells as well. 600 resists over Anguish and my warrior doesn't resist anything.

I'm not trying to complain too much about this, it just seems off. Obviously Anguish is no where near as challenging as it might have used to been, with Grenlok and the 6 augur npcs in the zone being the biggest threat. I haven't started T7 yet so I can't comment on resists there.
7  General Category / Suggestions / Re: NPC Skin of Drake on: May 14, 2014, 03:07:12 pm
I'm just breaking into T5, and the Skin of the Drake on druid bosses is not a problem for me. The main difference between your group and mine is that I'm using an enchanter for dispells. On beginning the fight, I cast a chanter dispell, and as soon as I see some large spike of heal (generally the same 35%->44% spike you see) I cast enchanter dispell again. The npc never casts it again before it dies, lasting maybe 15-30 seconds after that. I do have an entire group on your setup though, but I have never witnessed the same behavior of the mob instantly casting the spell again before dying. Are you actually taking around 30 seconds to get the mob back down to 35% after first seeing the skin cast?
