General Category / Suggestions / Re: LDoN Inactivity Timer

Yeah makes sense when the "point per kill" system was in effect back then, but that plus bard melody has been changed since then. I wouldn't see why changing it now wouldn't effect either of those unless someone AFK kills and uses some 3rd party key click loot program to loot the tokens/charm upgrades; which is bannable and not permitted on this server. but yeah, it definately would benefit us multiboxers... specially most of us that are 5-6 boxing. Im so paranoid from this now that I do it (move toons around and jump) in every zone now omg

General Category / Suggestions / LDoN Inactivity Timer

I don't know if others think the same way, but this inactivity timer in LDoN is just silly. It makes it kind of a pain in the rump when farming LDoN while multiboxing. I am always paranoid that my toons will get ported to the entrance, so I have to keep moving them and frickin jumping etc.
Although, last night I was doing that and they were still getting ported! Frickin annoying as hell. I was running with my cleric on autofollow and she was ported when I stopped to heal lol wtf!?
Not really sure what it would take to alter the code but if it is an easy fix then im all for it .

This doesn't make any sense to me as to why 1 of my 4 accounts running SoD cannot log in to any server on the list due to an "unknown error while attempting to connect" message.
The account logs into titanium fine but will not get past the server select screen with SoD.
This is the only account out of my 4 that can't login with the SoD client. This just randomly happened a cpl hours ago.

General Category / General Discussion / Re: New Train Rules?

I tested some stuff one day while doing RoA in citymist. I pulled trains of 10-15 and stood in one place and let the corpses fall. To my avail, the zone did crash after the 5th kill ( I was the only one in the zone )
Re-logging, I came up with an idea. I wondered if having multiple corpses drop in the same spot causes issues, ie... maybe a max amount of corpses per certain 'loc' or something and tested it.
Still being the only one in the zone, I kept pulling, killing, pulling killing. After each mob died, I would move a couple feet, rinse, repeat. Now im not sure if this actually doesn't cause crashes, but since doing that, if im the only one in the zone it has yet to crash for me since.
This is a theory of mine as it has yet to crash for me since doing this. Now if other people are in the zone, it is a different story, but I have tested it multiple times when I was the only person in citymist by not moving when killing mobs and to my surprise it did crash.
Ive always also suggested people pull no more then 8 at a time, but I highly doubt selfish people will do that.

That's what im trying to address here. The stability has been great up til the hardware change, so im trying to piece together what has transpired to cause the unstability since then.
I didn't see many world connection losses since 99's came here; maybe 1 at the most, but before their server went down I had never seen a world connection loss at all.
And the 2 server restarts I actually enjoyed when they worked. 5 minute downtime for better stability and possible extra spawns for cg/fg mobs when coming back was great.
Since the hardware change, I have seen server restart messages before but they never actually restarted the server; you would see the message but nothing would happen. Im not really sure if Hunter fixed that yet or not.
And now even more annoying is I can't even play my toons with the SoD client cause I get a damn, " spell cannot be cast while out of combat" message when trying to cast ANY spell, arrrrrrrrgh!!!!
K now im ranting haha

Not really flaming anything but this is just a simple observation and want to see what people think here.
Is it just me or does it seem like ever since the hardware was changed there is a significant amount of crashes/world server connection losses than before?
1. It seems like the server restarts don't happen anymore (before I think it was twice a day?) and
2. There is world connection loss once a day or more now, as well as multiple zone crashes.
Is there something I missed here? I mean I don't see how changing to better hardware would cause this but I don't really see any difference other than the SoD client coming out since the hardware change. Most 99'ers left and the population is less than it was when they were here, but it just seems to crash even more now.
Im wondering what could be causing the bogdown (other than the obvious train pullers etc.)

Yeah connection has been lost for quite awhile now as I killed about 6 bosses in qvic when it was noted about the connection loss. Finally just decided to logout.
I tend to ignore asking for help over and over in ooc as well. Some people aren't bad in the way they go about asking, however, others clearly label themselves as "beggars" with the way they go about asking for help and it tends to get annoying.
On the other hand, like Scootz replied earlier, getting to 5 and farming cards is quite a lengthly process and will take quite awhile so that is prolly why less people are up to jumping on that. Most are happy to help when someone asks for MoW or Terror etc, cause they are quick.
Sometimes you can find someone so utterly bored though to help out with anything hehehe
