In general, you can just email ezserveronline@gmail.com and either Rent or Akka will replace it for you.  Since it's just a 3.0, there's a good chance you can re-acquire it before that email is read.

I don't know how possible it is, but I had a thought that seemed like it might be rather win/win for players and for server maintenance.

There are certain zones that I almost always want an instance of, particularly crowded zones like nexus or stonehive and any spot where I plan to farm often.  Every few days, I have to recreate all my instances and I thought, "wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to set an autopay or auto renew flag" so that certain zones automatically get 3 additional days added to their expiration time and money is automatically taken from my inventory.

Akkadius, you mentioned that zone creation and destruction were two things that were contributing to performance issues.  I don't know if those were issues that were only present during the halloween event.  I still wake up each morning to all my clients being logged out.  Also, I don't know if this weird suggestion would even help.  If I have an instance of qeynos2 open and no one is in it for hours, has the zone been taken down even though my instance is not expired?  Does it get "recreated" again when I /say enter blah?

On the surface, it seems like being able to automatically extend instance times would help with the number of instances being orphaned upon expiration, but I may be missing some of the bigger picture.

Is there an updated stat page for the 2018 Halloween event?  Just curious 

People are going to interpret my statements however they want, regardless of what I actually say or how I intend for them to come across.  I love the server.  If I was in a position to give money away, I'd still donate to it.  I'm very grateful that it's here and free of cost.  I'm also vaguely aware of the large amount of time sunk into bringing the various ideas to fruition and don't take that for granted.

All that said, I'm still entitled to an opinion and sometimes I'll voice it.  If I think a piece of armor is ugly and say so that doesn't mean I expect someone to come running to fix it.  I'm not trying to exude a sense of entitlement.  People love their drama and it's more dramatic to say, "look at that entitled little bitch" and take that interpretation from my comments.  If that's what you want to do with it.  Go do that.  If you don't care for my opinion, I don't give a shit. Just move on.  No one said anyone had to like me.

When I first came back to EZ server I remarked one time in ooc how it'd be nice if there was a way to pull the whole zone at once in some of the places I'd been farming.  When I said it, I had no idea the zone clicky even existed.  Someone told me about it, said they drop like candy during Halloween, and got me a little excited for the event.  My expectations had been set.  Whether I'm owed a damn thing or not, my expectations had been set.  No differently than they'd have been set if someone said, "hey there's a froglok ghost on ldon lvl 5".  I'd wander in expecting to see a froglok ghost.

When the Halloween event was kicked off, it turned out what someone said was true.  I made my plans and set forth doing what I thought was fun.  Then I felt like I had the carpet pulled out from under my feet.  I realize I'm not owed the Halloween event that someone described a few weeks/months back.  That's fine.  I get that.  My opinion is now that the event is no longer worth my time.  I was disappointed.  That's just my opinion.  The server as a whole is still fun to play on.  I just felt like as a lowly 73, when the ZP drop rate was nuked, ZP was reduced from being something potentially very useful to a party trick I'll be able to do a few times before I run out.

That's ok though, I can just continue progression as though the event never happened.

I appreciate the effort put into the event.  Sorry if I didn't like it as much as you might have hoped.

This halloween event is no longer worth the time.  I've resorted to doing actual work irl over the event I looked forward to for so long.  What a disappointment.

as stated though, that only causes it to shift to a generic / non-descriptive / vague / worthless error message.

Is there anything special that is required to get the underfoot client working?  Right now I am using titanium and it comes with various bugs.  The most troublesome bug being that most of the time, in the AA window, a great number of AAs simply do not show up and are not available for purchase.  Most of the time I look under the archtype AAs, there are only 2 listed, but sometimes when I log in they're all there and go away after I zone.

That said, I've tried using both the SoD and UF clients and both give me the same error when I first attempt to launch eqgame.exe



In SoD, I extracted the missing file from an April 2006 .CAB file and put it where it was supposed to be, but then the error message just changed to something generic like, "Cannot start Everquest"  (real informative).


If anyone knows of anything that needs to be done to run the game on EZ Server please let me know.  Thanks.

Also, I prefer to run them without using the steam client.

Sorry, I know this is probably stickied somewhere that I missed, but I feel like I've scoured the site for a setup guide to getting everything working for EZ server and haven't been able to find anything.  Can someone paste a link?
