Once I geared up my BST/MAG/NEC group and got a Shaman with Kraken, I had enough damage to hunt down Shadow semi-effectively. But it's been far more effective slowly switching out pets for a monk, and shoving augs on my BST and such. Once you can tank kill shadow within about 3-4 minutes, it's probably time to start on it. Otherwise, just keep building up the damage...

Can't you just make a RoA character flag? Separate the nerfs and zone lockouts for people just playing from the ones wanting to "exploit" the RoA 101+ grind?...

Yeah, I ran it before and after I ran the patchme shortcut. Both times I got the error message. But the dx download did the trick, it runs fine now...

Okay, well one question since so many people have had to do this. Are you still able to use the newer video cards that require DX10 or higher to run properly? Or maybe they just require DX10 to use DX10 features. Hell I dunno, I just like to have as many resources to burn as possible, not that I'll be trying to jam a dedicated graphics card into this dinky laptop. I wish they had USB video cards that came with their own power source. I have no idea how that would work, but hell, USB ports are used for everything these days...

So I do need to downgrade? Hope that doesn't make Windows bitch at me. I thought I remembered something about new Windows versions needing the DX11, not just newer video cards. Thanks for the advice...

Trying to get the underfoot client from hateborne's files to run on my Win 7 laptop so I can squeeze in a few more boxed characters, but even after the options editor it gives me that d3dx9_30.dll is missing crap. Do you need to downgrade to dx9 or something to get EQ to work? Tried running in compatibility mode for XP SP3 which I know works since I'm playing EZ with that on my good comp, but still nothing. Any ideas?...

I went with all the pet classes right away, and now I'm putting UCs and such on melees and getting strike augs. I think it helps tremendously to have 4.0 pet damage to help boost all your other characters up. Kind of like how people make casters mains on Live to boost up their melee alts...

Super super rare drops for special items? Would those be like Kunark era haste belts and such that can drop randomly from almost any sebilis frog? I always liked the idea of getting stupidly lucky and having something that makes a significant difference fall into your lap...

Can't their default speed be set to something 3-4 times faster and just leave the root immunity in?...

I will honestly never understand what people see in PvP without rewards. Especially in such a great PvE game...
