I recently started using winEQ, but I can't figure out how to make the instances use only 1 of my processor cores. Anyone know how to fix this? Running in slow motion  Sad

FYI, I'm aware of the "C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1 eqgame.exe patchme" fix, I'm just not sure how it works with winEQ.

Thanks in advance.

I had to disable one of the cores manually on my system.

On XP:

To do this go to start -> run -> type in msconfig

go to boot.ini tab

Click advanced options

You will see /NUMPROC=(pull down window)

Check box -  Select 1

Reboot and should fix it.   Turn it on by unchecking the box and rebooting and your core(s) will be running again.

For Vista - get xp :p

For win7 - no clue

WinEQ does it automatically with EQplay nice so make sure that is enabled. Also dont disable your cores with MSConfig it will slow down the entire pc when it really isn't needed.
