Hello and a question.

Hi all,

I joined EZ Server yesterday and so far am having a blast.

I have a question concerning Grieg's End. I zoned in there yesterday and got immediately attacked by mobs warping through the walls. Is this normal? Tried the ol' invis spell but there was a mobs undead pet attacking so couldnt get past.

EQ, be it Live or Emu have always had issues with mobs attacking through walls. Many a day my Dru got a beat down while medding in the "safe" guard tower in NK by a roaming HG that we never saw. lol

I will get a bit higher level and try my luck then. Hopefully with more AA to help break in.

Shards of Dalaya is the only emu server with an updated pathing system. Last I checked (I asked nicely) they aren't sharing.

I read that Project99 has updated pathing, but havn't tried it.

It's possible P99 has it, I wouldn't know. Their admins are a bunch of jackasses so I haven't even touched the server.

And before anyone says anything, we go way back, and it's a long story.

Vrexx your best bet is to stick to custom zones, you get amazing gear and it will help you progress faster. you can explore when you get max level and better gear.

To my knowledge p99 has the same pathing that titanium comes default with. The only thing they updated that could have any bearing on pathing at all is increased mob speed.

Doesn't surprise me that the dev's over there are a bunch of jackasses. Any dev team that explicitly states they don't care if people play their server sound like a bunch of jack offs.

SoD server: Very nice custom content, good solid code. Staffed by a bunch of ass clowns.
Didn't like playing on a server that has a Nazi Gestapo attitude.

Even if they shared any of their code I wouldn't want to be the person in charge of trying to get it to work on EMU. They broke from the project a good long time ago.

P99 does not have updated pathing code they might have updated certain zone pathing which would still work by placing new nodes but other then that no new pathing code while i was there.
