Here is a rough idea for Thanksgiving event.

 You go to certain zones and certain mobs/bosses drop a turkey shooting gun. Once you have a gun you go to a zone that has a pen or something where there are turkeys(Kunark Chicken is closest I can think of in game)

 You shoot the turkeys and randomly there is basic loot, better loot and posisbly ultra arre item like charm, halloween type pet or something like that.

 The gun should be a one shot item that disappears or otherwise is worthless when used once. So you can collect one, maybe more and then go shoot your turky for a possible item.
