Yes.  Yes it was/is.  Still haven't made it to the end yet though.  Have to get the twigs and zorth yet...  Accidentally looted a twigs stone on my cleric, before she had the quest.  Would be awesome if you could turn the stones in, but i have no idea what type of mechanics change that would take.  All of my toons have the quest now.
