Hunter,
Wanted to run some through parses on all the classes I have access to.
One issue I run into is with the practice dummy's being perma rooted I do not get double shot on ranger and I am not seeing crits.

Wondering if you thought it was worth it and ever had the time if you could make a mob in some random zone that is perma snared 99percent with something like 100khp and 100k regen.
Trying to think of a place to put one where it couldnt be moved around to much, even with a massive snare. I am sure people could come up with a good location.
Maybe near the Statue of Rallos Zek spawn point in Kael, only just out of LOS from above so no one screws with it.

I just wanted to get some solid parses on stuff.

Just double the dps you get out your parse on rangers, that's all you have to do to get correct info out of them.

to see crits, try turning all crits on in options. its not ideal but its a way to see them.

Its not accurate, its just a guess. Now maybe if I always crit I could do that.
Sohami I am not sure you understand the issue but thanks for the idea.

I'm sorry it's my understanding rooted mobs take 50% damage versus non rooted/snared mobs. Perhaps I misunderstood?

Your rgr DPS is exactly 50% less on rooted mobs.
Whatever you are parsing, just multiply the ranger dpsx2.

I think snared, running mobs have the same 50% decrease in bow dmg against them. Right?

Correct.  It has to be not moving, and NOT rooted, to get the 2x bonus.

Ah well I didnt know if it was in fact a flat 50% minus so I could just double it.
Xig told me to stop being lazy and just stick a warrior with a heal bot on a T1 named and then just parse the ranger on that.
Since I wouldnt be using any discs I could probably get in a good 7-10min of parse data before I have to turn off attack and let the boss regen back up for another round.
Probably work on that today while I farm up LDON or something.

Even though the math equals the same thing, technically a non-moving target takes double damage, not the rooted/moving target takes half damage.  Plus it's really easy to change the formula in the database to make non-moving take more or less, but unless the source is edited it will always say "deals double damage."

Just sayin'. Grin
