Are we viable classes for endgame content? Geared out with 3.0's, pet, 2.0 for pet buff, plus either full qvic/tacvi. Or are we mainly used for just PL'ing? With the pet with 2.0 buffs and double fireblades, I can take on trash in qvic, but no more. I was just curious if our utility ended at being power levelers or not. I hope not, because I love my beastlord.

No class is really good alone, you need a team. a tank and healer are a must post-LDoN/ PoTime. to do Qvic and Tacvi+ you need a good tank and healer along with the DPS you have from the beastlord. I have a paladin (Cero) who was fine at tanking Qvic, but without the healer (Foxbox) and some DPS it was pointless.
All about teamwork/ boxing tbh.

No pet class does more damage than Beastie. Put my mage 3.0 up against a beastlord 3.0 pet for damage parse...beastie blew him away.
The pet classes are still viable through tier 1 content in Plane of Dragons. Beyond that, I've heard they are vulnerable to rampage/enrage and you end up recasting them a fair amount. But they still add solid DPS.

Pets do ok in T2 so long as you are paying attention and so long as you/tank positions correctly. Also /pet hold is a must between fights.

So it seems pretty established that BST 3.0 pets with 2.0 buffs top Mage 3.0 pets.
How about at epic 1.0 and 1.5 levels? I am boxing up war/clr/rng right now and am looking for more dps to get through ldon/DS. How does a BST at this stage, with just the cast pet, compare to the other pet classes? What about when it gets the 1.5 buff?
Thanks, insight is appreciated on which pet class to choose.

I'm finding my beastlord to have problems in qvic...before that it was fine, but on fights with adds, the lack of /pet focus is making it too hard to focus dps on the right target. I'm kinda wishing he were a ranger I could just /assist /autofire with  |

The trade off with crazy pet dps is that it is chaotic dps. To keep the pets off of the main mob and on the adds (cause as soon as the main mob ramps or casts an aoe he switches from any other mob back to the main) you have to constantly manage them.

Sounds like a promising idea. Anyway to set the flag by 3.5 epic for V3 and T3bp for V4? (Figure these would be good flag points but then again considering pet class BPs are so common could consider T3/T4 bp as the flag point. (Yes pet classes hate on me but its true, I delete more bst/nec/mage T4bp then any thing else-Enc you dont count ;p)) |

I didn't find that much trouble keeping the 3.0 pet alive, it even managed to stay up several minutes in some T3 fights if I kept spamming up guard. Were it grouped with em pallys it becomes even less difficult. Does require awful lot of maintanence though, so yeah..
And totally in favor of fireblade v3/v4! Could require T4 chest or somesuch as Bal suggests. Or the fireblade flags could be purchased by million of plat or lots of HoH stones or something.
