I'm almost positive that most all veteran necros are not playing anymore. I havent seen any of them on in a long long time. But i'm pretty sure the 4.0 pet comes from the Epic 4.0 click.

What is "the Epic 4.0 click" Solbash?  I looked through the forums and searched but couldn't find anything using that term.   Any other info you can provide would be appreciated.

Pets are summoned via a spell that is cast by clicking the epic. IE. the 3.0 pet is summoned by the 3.0 epic. I'm not even sure if there is anyone that has a 4.0, but if anyone does it would be Crab.

I was running through Qvic tunnel yesterday and a Mage with his 3.0 pet was also heading my way.  We took turns taking out the mobs on the way.  I couldn't believe how much more powerful his 3.0 pet was to mine.  He was destroying the groups of 3 while I struggled with groups of 2.

I asked him about it and he said he had some discipline that allowed his pet to do double damage but Necros have a buff for their pets too (can't remember name but I had it on) so the damage shouldn't have been anywhere near as disparate as it was.  Seems like Necro pets are gimped too much in comparison.  I guess it wouldn't be so bad if  the cast time of the lvl 70 heal wasn't so crazy slow but man to be gimped and not be able to heal is a little unfair.

His pet doesn't group heal.

Group heal.  Plus some dots that will dissolve your brain.
