What is the population limit for a MCP spawn?
Overkill, yes perhaps but we had near on 40 toons in poa today. 30% in Crash . The zone just lagged out and eveyone went ld. Not unlike Pofire back pre mega ram acquisition.
The same thing happened the other day.

So we guest we needed to reduce numbers so we cut to 26 peeps in zone and we were ok.

What is causing the crash is it the Aoe MCP casts? Is it hitting to many people and and lagging the zone out?

I don't like the idea of being penalized for being able to bring numbers to a fight.

We crashed on an MCP with just 2 groups in, so I think that there's more to it than just #'s.

Ive done the fight several times with around the 27 players in zone mark.
My personal opinion is the zone just has a serious memory leak issue

I'll add that before the MCP fight we were lagging on T3 boss fights so everyone zoned out of PoA, and a new instance was bought/entered.  MCP was the first pull after that.  My group was all LD after about 60 seconds into the fight.

I crash only when others are in zone with  me.  When I solo the MCP is the absolute only time zone fails on me.
