What video card?

Like many of you here, I box several characters at any given time and as many as 12. I'm curious what others who are multi-boxing have for a video card? My current setup is an ATI 4850 512MB powered by the Intel Core2Duo E8400 overclocked at 3.87Ghz with 8GB memory.

Any recommendations or comment of what is working well for you?

I run 3 monitors on a Radeon 6870 - I like it based upon the ability to drive 3 instead of 2 and the eyefinity tech that lets me stretch something out over all of the monitors.

My machine came with an NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 so I use it. but would like to change it over for a new card

Sitting on a BFG-Tech nVidia 260 GT with Intel i7-920 core (no overclocking). I am using WinEQ2.0 and it seems to start showing around 10 clients. The processor load is fine, the ram is full but the swap file is kicking. I suspect the issue lies more with the WinEQ (which may be resolved with ISBoxer).

I also have everything on max (minus spell effects). Gotta play in style :-D

depends on what you want to spend.
if I was going to upgrade right now I'd get a Nvidia 560 Ti, but they are still about $250.

I'm using a 275 GTX from like 1.5 years ago, still works great even for modern games - eq obviously runs like butter. the more you box the more RAM you will need, the video card is almost irrelevant as long as it's something made in the last 5-6 years lol..

I have 6GB and can easily box 5-6.. SoD client even with models turned off etc.. will use 700-900k per box.

AMD Phenom II Quad 3.4 GHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM
Geforce GTX 460 (around 5-6 months old? with MSI afterburner, the fan speed can be auto adjusted according to temperature to your liking.) Can't hear this thing over my aftermarket CPU heatsink running at 40% speed.

I run EQ at 1600x900 in windowed mode (pre-luclin models, everything on high with spell particles off), boxed up to 12 with no slow down, each client uses about 500MB of RAM. With 12 clients up, CPU usage is about 50-60%. Video card stays relatively cool, in the winter (Florida) it runs at around 40C, and saw 55C yesterday when room temperate was the boiling point of water.......

Just gotta throw out there, I've got a nvidia 8800GT and the thing is rock solid with 6 boxes. Probably one of the best cards I've ever invested in as far as bang/buck goes.

I've got a 9800GT and 6g DDR2 sitting around cause my hard drive and motherboard crapped out on me from trying to run Crysis on full for 4 months straight. THAT, and a bunch of other crap... but anyways...

Now I have a shitty Dell laptop and a 9800GT sitting in a box in my closet =(
