This is going pretty far back for me maybe 6-7 years ago. I seem to remember a chat client that could be run on a comp without EQ installed and chat with guildies/friends. It may have only been limited to tells, my memory of EQ fades as the years pass.

I was wondering if this was at all available these days and if it had any chance of working on EZ? I'm sure I'll get the "just log on and chat" replies but I'm just throwing the question out there to see.

Would love to have it on my laptop and see if anyone is on that I want to group with before I fire up the gaming PC.

Thanks for your time

It was called EQIM.  Since it has a configurable address line of code, I don't see why you can't manipulate that and try to connect to the server.  Once connected to the server, no idea if the functionality of it would be compatble with the changed configurations of EQ Emulator chat services.
